Montana Governor Calls Montanans White, Racist Rednecks

August 7, 2012 at 8:59 pm (Brian Schweitzer, Democrat, Governor Schweitzer, Mitt Romney, Montana, Mormon, Ohio, Ohio Democratic Party, Polygamy)

Worse, he traveled to Ohio to rip on his own constituents.  Perhaps he’s under the impression those rednecks will never be able to ‘Google this on the tubes’.

Via Watchdog.org:

Just the other day, Politico said Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer’s rhetorical prowess is a valuable asset and a dangerous liability for his future political ambitions.

Case in point: Less than two weeks ago, Schweitzer delivered the keynote address at the Ohio Democratic Party’s annual dinner. In the speech, he told a gripping tale of his grandmother immigrating to the United States to start a new life.

Riveting.

In the same address, Schweitzer dipped into darker rhetoric to blast Caucasian Montanans as racist toward American Indians…

“All over Montana, you can walk into a bar, a café or even a school or a courthouse and just listen for a while as people talk to each other,” Schweitzer explained, shortly after noting 93 percent of his state’s population is classified as Caucasian. “And you will hear somebody, before very long, say something outrageously racist about the people who’ve lived in Montana for 10,000 years.”

The governor delivered the program to sway the minds and hearts of Treasure State youngsters. “So, I decided, I can’t turn the heart of a 45-year-old redneck,” Schweitzer said.

Schweitzer has already been diagnosed with a prior case of diarrhea of the mouth, stating that Mitt Romney couldn’t win over Latino voters because his family “came from a polygamy commune in Mexico”.

Classy fella’.  Good thing he’s not a white, racist redneck from Monta … er … nevermind.

Zach Galifianakis Ripped as a ‘Guy Who Makes Obscene Gestures With A Monkey’

August 7, 2012 at 4:16 pm (Charles Koch, Conservative, Dan Aykroyd, David Koch, Hangover, Hangover Part II, Hollywood, John Lithgow, Koch Brothers, Monkey Love, Monkeys, Motch Brothers, Republican, Zach Galifianakis)

Yesterday, actor Zach Galifianakis ripped into wealthy Republican donors, the Koch brothers, apparently opposing their pro-capitalist positions based on creepiness (h/t Gateway Pundit).

Actor Zach Galifianakis may be known for his less-than family-friendly sense of humor, but billionaires David and Charles Koch demonstrated Tuesday they don’t find him so funny.

The comedian is co-starring with Will Ferrell in the upcoming comedy, “The Campaign,” which features a pair of wealthy donors called the “Motch brothers,” played by Dan Aykroyd and John Lithgow.

Galifianakis, whose uncle served as a U.S. congressman from North Carolina, told the New York Daily News on Monday that it was “pretty obvious” the Motch brothers, a pair of wealthy donors who attempt to manipulate political campaigns, were crafted after David and Charles Koch, best known as the “Koch brothers.”

The Koch brothers are high-profile figures in the Republican Party who support conservative and libertarian causes. Backers of the group Americans for Prosperity, the pair of industrialists are expected to spend tens – if not hundreds – of millions on Republican causes this year.

In July, the Kochs hosted a fund-raiser for Mitt Romney in Southampton, which drew multiple protests from Occupy Wall Street crowds.

In the interview Monday, “The Hangover” star wasted no time expressing how he feels about the real-life industrialist titans.

“I disagree with everything they do. They are creepy and there is no way around that. It’s not freedom what they are doing,” Galifianakis said.

Today, the Koch brothers responded by ripping Galifianakis’ as a monkey-loving comedian who is for some reason, offering political commentary.

Apparently, the real Koch brothers weren’t so amused. A spokesman for the industrialist titans released a statement, chiding the actor’s comments.

“Last we checked, the movie is a comedy. Maybe more to the point is that it’s laughable to take political guidance or moral instruction from a guy who makes obscene gestures with a monkey on a bus in Bangkok,” said Philip Ellender, referring to a scene from the movie “The Hangover Part II.”

So who got the last laugh?

Indis-Moo-table Proof That Global Warming Has Not Happened in the Last Decade

August 7, 2012 at 11:00 am (Climate Change, Global Warming, Ice Age, Milk Production, Think Progress, Time, University of Washington)

Global warming alarmists over at Think Progress have found a new measuring stick for the world’s warming temperatures – cow milk production.

A new study conducted by researchers at the University of Washington concludes that milk production in dairy cows could fall dramatically in some areas of the U.S. due to climate change.

The researchers showed that cows, like humans, are sensitive to heat stress. In certain hot and uncomfortable conditions, cows must devote more of their body’s resources to cooling down and devote less energy to milk production. The problem is exacerbated in humid conditions. Because cows perspire to cool down, higher concentrations of water in the air makes it more difficult for sweat to evaporate. Thus, as hot and humid climates become more extreme, they threaten the productivity of dairy cows.

So, this study shows a correlation between milk production in cows and increases in heat and humidity.  With that correlation in mind, we present the following chart that shows that milk production on a per-cow basis has steadily increased over the last ten years.

And this trend isn’t just in the United States.  Just a couple of months ago, the U.S. Dairy Export Council was discussing softer milk prices due to “swelling milk production” worldwide.

Now, if global warming brings less milk, then more milk must equate to global … cooling?  That’s it!  The only explanation for the steady increase in milk production – based on the logic presented by Think Progress – is worldwide cooling temperatures!

Better dust off that old edition of Time…

In the meantime, have a delicious cup of chocolate moo juice on us…

Mayor Bloomberg’s Office Caught Trying to Politicize School Shooting Within Hours After 5 Were Shot

August 7, 2012 at 9:00 am (Bret Thompson, Chardon High School Shooting, Columbus, Gun Control, Lance Orchid, MAIG, Mark Glaze, Mayor Bloomberg, Michael Bloomberg, Michael Coleman, New York, New York City, Ohio, Second Amendment, T.J. Lane)

We were a little shocked when New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg recently used the tragic shooting in Aurora Colorado to make a case for more stringent gun control laws.  Rather than allowing a time to mourn the senseless violence, Bloomberg saw political opportunity to expand his Second Amendment infringements.

Suffice it to say, this is even more disturbing.

On February 27th, a student opened fire in a cafeteria at Chardon High School in Ohio, killing three students and injuring two others before being arrested.

Less than two hours after the shooting, Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman was conspiring with individuals from Mayor Bloomberg’s office to push an agenda involving limitations to the Second Amendment.

At 9:02 AM on February 27, 2012 – less than two hours after T.J. Lane allegedly shot five of his classmates in the cafeteria of their Chardon, Ohio school – lobbyist Mark Glaze, the national director of MAIG, emailed Coleman staffer R. Lee Roberts and three employees in Mayor Bloomberg’s office to inform them of the news.

At 10:04 AM Bret Thompson, policy director for union-funded liberal group ProgressOhio, forwarded a link to a Huffington Post story about the shooting to Roberts, NYC “Special Counsel for Firearms Policy” Chris Kocher, Fund for a Safer Future director Lance Orchid, the executive director of the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence, and a fellow ProgressOhio staffer. Orchid replied that the recipients’ previously scheduled 10:30 AM conference call should focus on using the Chardon shooting to advance an anti-gun narrative in Ohio.

“I hope that we can do some rapid response,” Orchid wrote. “Perhaps this is the perfect time to push out the new microsite petition around guns on campus.”

In a separate email to Thompson, Janey Rountree, Bloomberg’s “Firearms Policy Coordinator,” wrote, “I’m not necessarily opposed to trying to connect the two for messaging purposes – just want to make sure we have our facts straight. In the meantime, I totally agree that today is a good time for condolence page.”

MAIG (Mayors Against Illegal Guns) is a gun-control lobbying group co-founded by Mayor Bloomberg.  Bloomberg’s office and a progressive group in Ohio actually created and used the aforementioned condolences page to harvest e-mail addresses that were then distributed to MAIG and another gun control organization in Ohio.

The following afternoon, Chris Kocher sent an email from Bloomberg’s office outlining the response to the Chardon shootings. Kocher noted that ProgressOhio had “Created rememberingchardon.com webpage; will send email directing list to that page and ask them to offer condolences.” Kocher added, “New email acquisitions will be shared with Mayors Against Illegal Guns and a small subset of these names will be shared with OCSGV [Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence].

“This is great, Chris,” Orchid replied.

This is far from ‘great’.  It is a deplorable extension of the concept of ‘never letting a crisis go to waste’.

There is no event, no matter how tragic, that Bloomberg will not try to exploit for political gain.

Politifact Backs Up Priebus – Harry Reid IS a Dirty Liar

August 7, 2012 at 7:56 am (10 Years, 2012 Election, Didn't Pay Taxes, Economy, Harry Reid, Mitt Romney, Nancy Pelosi, Pants on Fire, Politifact, President Obama, Reince Priebus, Senate Majority Leader, Squirrel)

Earlier this week, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus repeated an assertion that Harry Reid is nothing more than a “dirty liar” publicly for a third time.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus has upped the ante in his war of words with Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) over Mitt Romney’s tax returns.

In an interview with “Fox & Friends,” Priebus put all his cards on the table, continuing to hammer the Senate Majority Leader.

“There’s no triple down in blackjack, but I’ll triple down on my comments from yesterday,” Priebus said. “It’s just the truth. What else do you call somebody who goes onto the Senate floor and claims that someone hasn’t paid taxes in ten years, a complete lie, and uses his official office to do it?”

Priebus’ attacks stem from Reid’s interview with The Huffington Post on Tuesday, where the senator cited a Bain Capital source who claimed that Romney skirted past paying his taxes for 10 years. In a Sunday appearance on ABC’s “This Week,” Priebus called it a “made-up issue,” refusing to “respond to a dirty liar” in reference to Reid.

“You just called him a dirty liar,” ABC host George Stephanopoulos asked. “You stand by that — you think Harry Reid is a dirty liar?”

“I just said it,” Priebus said.

Not only does Priebus stand by the statement, so does fact-checking organization Politifact, who has given Reid’s claims that Romney didn’t pay taxes for 10 years a rating of “pants on fire”.

Reid has said Romney paid no taxes for 10 years. It was no slip of the tongue. He repeated the claim on at least two more occasions, at one point saying that “the word is out” when in fact it was only Reid who put that “word” out.

Reid has produced no evidence to back up his claim other than attribution to a shadowy anonymous source. Romney has denied the claim, and tax experts back him up, saying that the nature of Romney’s investments in Bain make it highly unlikely he would have been able to avoid paying taxes altogether — especially for 10 years.

Reid has made an extreme claim with nothing solid to back it up. Pants on Fire!

Seriously, who is actually dumb enough to fall for this tactic?   Aside from Nancy Pelosi of course.  This is nothing more than trying to divert attention away from President Obama’s record yet again.  It is simply Reid’s latest “Squirrel!” tactic.  Unemployment is above 8% again … uh … Squirrel!

The Senate Majority Leader has been reduced to grade school tactics in an effort to defend the worst President in this country’s history.  The man has no shame…

Sick – Abortion Doctor Discusses Killing "Ugly Black Babies"

August 7, 2012 at 7:00 am (Abortion, Ashutosh Ron Virmani, Black Babies, Black Childre, Day Gardner, National Black Pro-Life Union, Pro Life, Ugly)

The abortion industry is appalling enough on it’s own, but adding a racial element to the practice is even that much more abhorrent.

The abortion industry has always had a racial component — since the days of Margaret Sanger and her eugenics past — and more evidence of the inherent racism within abortion has come to light.

Day Gardner, President of the National Black Pro-Life Union, is alerting people to a video that shows abortion practitioner Ashutosh Ron Virmani referring to the black children that he kills as “ugly black babies.”

“Let me see one of you adopt one of those ugly black babies,” she says.

“Excuse me? It’s all too obvious that he has a particular disgust for black babies and therefore has no problems killing them,” Gardner responds. “The black community should be outraged because Ashutosh Virmani is a brazen racist and his statement supports what we already know of the billion dollar abortion industry–black babies are targeted because they are seen as poor, worthless and maybe even ‘ugly.’”
