October 4, 2012 at 4:26 pm (2012 Election, Business, Economy, Jobs, Joe Biden, Tax Hike, Taxes, Trillion Dollar)

Anybody else looking forward to the vice-presidential debates as much as I am?

Biden is simply the gift that keeps on giving…

I’m sure businesses will be chomping at the bit to start hiring knowing that a trillion dollar tax hike is in the works.

(Picture) Clinton Caught Checking Out Christina Aguilera’s Chest

October 4, 2012 at 3:25 pm (Bill Clinton, Bubba, Chest, Christina Aguilera, Hillary Clinton, Ogle)

… And it wasn’t Bubba.

This, courtesy of E! Online (h/t Liberty News):

This isn’t the Clinton we normally associate with wandering eyes, but then, we didn’t expect the hottest watercooler topic to come out of the first presidential debate to be Big Bird. Politics. It’s a crazy business.

In any case, while President Barack Obama was in Denver facing off against Mitt Romney yesterday, his secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, was back in Washington, D.C., helping honor (well, that’s one word for it) Christina Aguilera.

Hey, eyes up here, Hillary.

Tell me Bubba isn’t thinking this is a dream come true…

Obama Again Says He Wants to ‘Export More Jobs’

October 4, 2012 at 2:55 pm (2012 Election, Colorado, Denver, Economy, Export Jobs, Jobs, Kent, Ohio, President Obama)

Fox News is blaming the latest Obama gaffe on being rattled from last night’s debate performance.

A Rattled Obama After Debate: Let’s ‘Export More Jobs’

President Obama misspoke in a speech at Kent State Univeristy, saying “I want to see us export more jobs,” a line likely to become immediate fodder for his opponent, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. Quickly realizing he made the mistake, Obama corrected himself: “I want to see us export more jobs, export more products – excuse me.”

But this is actually the second time in a little over a week that the President said he wanted to ‘export jobs’.

In Kent, Ohio on the 27th, this happened:

At a rally at Kent State University in Ohio, President Obama accidentally came out in favor of outsourcing before quickly correcting himself. “I want to see us more jobs —export more products, excuse me,” Obama said. “I was channeling my opponent there for a moment.”

Being the second time he has said this, does this mean we’ve graduated from simple gaffe to Freudian slip?

High-School Teacher Compares Student’s Romney T-Shirt to KKK Sheet, Then Threatens To Attack Her

October 4, 2012 at 10:58 am (KKK, Ku Klux Klan, Mitt Romney, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Tolerance)

What has become of the city of Brotherly Love?

Via Philly.com:

Last Friday was dress-down day at Charles Carroll High School in Port Richmond — a day for students to leave their uniforms at home and wear whatever they liked.

One young woman chose to wear a shirt showing her support for Gov. Mitt Romney’s presidential candidacy.  Her geometry teacher didn’t like it, the girl’s father said on a radio call-in show on IQ 106.9 FM today.

According to the father, the teacher demanded that the student take off her shirt, comparing it to a Ku Klux Klan sheet.  Aside from the racial hyperbole being exercised by an ignorant teacher, should a teacher, regardless of subject matter, ever ask a female student to take off their shirt for any reason?

But it didn’t end there, as LaborUnionReport explains:

That’s when things turned ugly for her in the “Democratic school.”
The teacher allegedly told the girl to take off the shirt, saying it was like wearing a Ku Klux Klan sheet. The teacher allegedly threatened to use a marker to cross out Romney’s name and that of Rep. Paul Ryan, his running mate. The teacher also allegedly tried to throw the student out of class.
The teacher also allegedly said that Carroll was “a Democratic school.”[Emphasis added.]

An investigation is ongoing according to the Inquirer.

MSNBC Contributor Frets – ‘The President Had No Teleprompter’

October 4, 2012 at 9:26 am (Debate, Mike Barnicle, Mitt Romney, Morning Joe, MSNBC, President Obama, Teleprompter)

Even this morning, MSNBC contributors were in panic mode over the President’s performance in last night’s debate.

On Morning Joe, Mike Barnicle indicated that he thinks Obama’s wretched performance was due to the lack of a teleprompter.

Here’s a partial transcript:

BARNICLE:  We all know that the presidency is a bubble, that existed in that bubble.  We also know anecdotally from your reporting and other reporting that we read continually that there’s very little interaction between this president and members of the senate or members of the house.  There’s very little personal interaction.  There’s no phone calls back and forth.  We don’t know really what happens when he has conversations about the legislation pending and stuff like that.  But we do know from last night when Mitt Romney says I don’t know what you’re talking about, we do know the look that registered on President Obama’s face was, you know, who are you to be saying that to another …

… as long as we’re talking about this, and Jon Meacham is right, that no one has spoken to him like this for the last four years.  There’s another element that perhaps should be under discussion. the President had no teleprompter last night.  He speaks almost all the time off of a teleprompter.  Forced now to stand on his feet after four years in the bubble, getting pushed back a little.  He didn’t do too well.  He didn’t do too well.

This coincides with what other Obama cheerleaders were saying last night.  Bill Maher for instance…
Sorry to say libs, unless they find a way to surgically attach a teleprompter to the President’s dome, things aren’t going to get any better in the next two debates.
Oh wait…
Maybe there is hope for the President after all.
