Journalism Professor: Thanksgiving ‘A White Supremacist Holiday’, Founding Fathers Like Nazis

November 23, 2012 at 3:18 pm (9/11, Jeremiah Wright, Robert Jensen, Texas, Thanksgiving, White Supremacist)

This man is a professor of journalism at the University of Texas at Austin.  Would you want him teaching your kid?

Via CNS News:

Forget all that turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie, today should be a day of fasting and atonement for American “sin.” That’s according to Robert Jensen, a journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Jensen, known for his hard-left politics, also calls Thanksgiving a “white-supremacist holiday.”

Jensen’s opinion piece “No Thanks for Thanksgiving,” appeared on the far-left, Soros-connected website Alternet on Thanksgiving eve. In it, he wrote how Native Americans suffered because of the “European invasion of the Americas.” He went on to compare the Founding Fathers to Nazi Germany. “How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most revered historical figures had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis?” he asked.

According to Jensen, Thanksgiving is “at the heart of U.S. myth-building. “But in the United States, this reluctance to acknowledge our original sin — the genocide of indigenous people — is of special importance today,” he explained.

Jensen, as the CNS News piece points out, has a long history of being a hysterical loon.  Three days after 9/11, he published this piece in the Houston Chronicle, basically stating the attacks on America were no more despicable than acts of terrorism committed by our own government.  It is a strikingly similar tone to the “America’s chickens have come home to roost” delirium spewed by the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Report: Republican Poll Watcher Threatened With Gun in Detroit, Police Refuse to Respond

November 6, 2012 at 2:30 pm (9/11, Badge, Democrat, Detroit, Detroit Police, GOP, Gun, Michigan, Police Officer, Poll Watcher, Republican)

Regardless of your politics, if somebody calls 911 and says that a man at a polling station has told you to leave because he has a gun, is it not mandatory that the police arrive as soon as possible to check on the situation?

Not in Detroit apparently…

First, there was this tweet from Election Journal:

Then, the followup – Via Michigan GOP (h/t Weasel Zippers):

This morning, a legally credentialed poll watcher was threatened and intimidated while attempting to perform his legally allowed duties of observing the election process at precinct polling location 289 in Detroit.

The poll watcher, a lawyer, was confronted by a voter in line, who demanded the poll watcher produce his credentials, which he did.

However, the voter said that wasn’t good enough and that he had “a badge and a gun” and told the poll watcher get out of the precinct.

Rather than allow the situation to escalate, the poll watcher left before the voter produced a badge or brandished a gun.

Fearing for his safety, the poll watcher exited and called 911, however the Detroit Police refused to respond to the call – neglecting the fact that a voter alleged to have a ‘badge’ and a ‘gun’ in a precinct, putting other voters at risk.

Let’s see.  A man threatens a voter with a badge and gun.  Said voter calls more men with badges and guns. They don’t respond.  Why?  Was the first man allegedly holding a badge and gun professionally related to the other men with badges and guns?

Let’s hope the one doing the threatening wasn’t actually a police officer.

Even Democrats Are Demanding Answers From the President

September 28, 2012 at 10:44 am (9/11, Ambassador Stevens, Benghazi, Cover Up, Ed Morrisey, George Bush, John Kerry, Libya, President Obama, Scandal, Senate Democrats, Terrorist Attack, Thomas Nides)

They’re normally just so obedient.

But the Obama administration’s lies are obvious, and the cover up is becoming more scandalous on a daily basis.

Via the Washington Examiner:

Senate Democrats joined Republicans Thursday in questioning the Obama administration’s handling of the fatal Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya and why the administration refused for days to acknowledge that it was a terrorist attack linked to al Qaeda.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, chaired by Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., circulated a bipartisan letter addressed to Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides, asking for an “accounting of the attacks against U.S. missions in Egypt, Libya and Yemen,” according to a copy obtained by The Washington Examiner.

The lawmakers are also demanding to know whether the administration had any advance warnings of the Libyan attack and, if so, whether it had shared that information with U.S. personnel on the ground.

The letter marks the first time congressional Democrats have so directly expressed their dissatisfaction with the administration’s response to inquiries about the attacks, which resulted in the death of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others and raised questions about U.S. security throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa.

A Kerry aide confirmed that the committee intended to enlist the support of Republicans and Democrats and said the letter would likely be sent Friday. Another aide told The Examiner that the panel’s 10 Democrats and nine Republicans plan to sign it.

In other words, recognition of obvious bulls*** has now gone bipartisan.

Gabriel Malor in the Daily News writes:

It has been 15 days since the attack in Libya. And where are we? President Obama, who first confidently (but incorrectly) declared that the attack grew spontaneously out of a protest over a YouTube video, has finally admitted that it was an act of terrorism directed against Americans on the anniversary of 9/11. There was no protest before the attack, we now know.

We now know this because of journalists in Libya. We know this because of Libya’s own officials. But we know hardly anything from our own government about what happened in Libya because most of what we were told by the White House was a lie.

The President boldly vowed that the perpetrators — he declined to call them terrorists at the time — would be brought to justice. To that end, he called in the FBI. More than a week later, the FBI flew a team to Tripoli, but that is as far as they got. They have not traveled to Benghazi. They have not examined the scene. They have not collected evidence. They have not interviewed the people the Libyans have arrested. It has been fifteen days since the attack.

Why is this not a scandal yet?

The answer is that the President’s name is no longer George Bush. Had this obvious cover up occurred under W, it would be an epic media played scandal.  But today, the media provides cover for a President coming under attack from even his closest political friends, such as Kerry.

That said, it’s actually worse than simply not providing answers that the American people deserve.  It’s the active lying prior to, and since, the ensuing attacks.

As we reported earlier, the administration did indeed have advance warning of imminent attacks on 9/11.

This CBN report explains:

CBN News Terrorism Analyst Erick Stakelbeck called Benghazi an al Qaeda “hot spot” and agrees that there was threat there well before the film’s release.

“For the Obama administration to continue to argue that these attacks were just spontaneous flies in the face of reality,” Stakelbeck said.

“One day before the attacks, Ayman al-Zawahri — who’s al Qaeda’s global leader — specifically called for al Qaeda attacks in Libya,” he explained. “One day later we see those attacks.”

This is a cover up of the highest order.  The Obama administration knew that attacks were possible and left U.S. consulate buildings unprotected.  The administration is directly responsible for the magnitude in which those attacks became successful.

And now, they know that there is evidence that something could have been done to prevent the deaths of these four Americans.

As Ed Morrisey writes, the administration “got caught flat-footed on the anniversary of 9/11 in the one part of the world where an American diplomatic mission would be most vulnerable — and they’ve been trying to deny it ever since.”

The American people deserve the truth.

Feel Good Story: Firefighters Revive Korean War Vet at 9/11 Ceremony

September 22, 2012 at 11:00 am (9/11, Congress Park, Eugene Corsale, Firefighters, Hero, Heroes, Korean War, New York, Saratoga Springs, September 11th, Veteran)

A Korean War Veteran is crediting the swift actions of local firefighters in Saratoga Springs, NY with saving his life after he collapsed while serving as Master of Ceremonies at a 9/11 Remembrance Day event.

Eugene “Gene” Corsale remembers reciting the Pledge of Allegiance before collapsing at the podium in front of his grandson.  His heart had stopped.

“I was ready to introduce the police, and that was the end of it,” he said. “I woke up in the emergency room.”

Despite the experience, Corsale insists that he was lucky.

Via the Times Union:

Looking back, the 2008 New York State Veteran of the Year says his heart picked a fine time to stop ticking. Attending the 9/11 service to recall those lost in the terrorist attacks of 11 years ago were members of the Saratoga Springs Fire Department, who had brought a truck with medical equipment.

When Corsale collapsed, the firefighters broke ranks and sprang into action. When they reached Corsale with a heart monitor, they found he had no pulse, Chief Robert Williams said Friday. The firefighters administered manual cardiopulmonary resuscitation, electric shocks to Corsale’s chest with a heart defibrillator and medications, which restarted his heart, Williams said.

“We were able to get him to where he had a strong pulse and he was beginning to respond to his name,” said Williams, who was at the scene. “He had the right people and the right equipment close by,” Williams said.

At the scene and credited for quick thinking and transporting Corsale to the hospital were Capt. Robert Murphy, lieutenants John Stewart and Michael Woodcock, and firefighters Michael O’Reilly, Jason Yourdon, Brian Kissinger, Jack Longo, Nicholas Colucci, Jeffrey Alonzo, Jordan Daviero and Matthew Daviero.

Please read the rest, including a brief history of Corsale’s service to his country in the Navy, and his service to fellow veterans after the war.

America Attacked Again on 9/11 … and We Apologize?

September 12, 2012 at 9:00 am (9/11, Apology, Appeasement, Cairo, Christopher Stevens, Egypt, Embassy, Islam, Libya, Political Correctness, President Obama, Radical Islam, Religious Extremism, September 11th, Terrorism, Terrorists)

The same Egyptian protesters that President Obama was more than willing to support during the so-called Arab Spring, mounted an unprecedented attack on an American Embassy in Cairo yesterday.

CNN reported:

Angry protesters climbed the walls of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo on Tuesday and hauled down its American flags, replacing them with black flags with Islamic emblems.

The incident prompted U.S. security guards to fire off a volley of warning shots as a large crowd gathered outside, apparently upset about the production of a Dutch film thought to insult the Prophet Mohammed, said CNN producer Mohammed Fahmy, who was on the scene.

An embassy operator told CNN that the facility had been cleared of diplomatic personnel earlier Tuesday, ahead of the apparent threat, while Egyptian riot police were called to help secure the embassy walls.

An embassy in Libya was also attacked.

Protesters angry over an amateurish American-made video denouncing Islam attacked the United States Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on Tuesday, killing a State Department officer, while Egyptian demonstrators stormed over the fortified walls of the United States Embassy here.

On the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, the assaults were a violent reminder that the changes sweeping the region have hardly dispelled the rage against the United States that still smolders in pockets around the Arab world.

The results?  Multiple Americans were shot, while others were the victims of a rocket attack that killed the U.S. Ambassador to Libya.

The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other embassy staff were killed in a rocket attack on their car, a Libyan official said, as they were rushed from a consular building stormed by militants denouncing a U.S.-made film insulting the Prophet Mohammad.

Gunmen had attacked and burned the U.S. consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi, a center of last year’s uprising against Muammar Gaddafi, late on Tuesday evening, killing one U.S. consular official. The building was evacuated.

The Libyan official said the ambassador, Christopher Stevens, was being driven from the consulate building to a safer location when gunmen opened fire.

Believe it or not, the response coming from the U.S. Embassy in Cairo included an apology to the extremists who had carried out the attack.

I’m going to say that again.

The Obama administration apologized to terrorists who had burned down sovereign American buildings and killed an American citizen.

The statement from the Embassy in Cairo actually apologized for “religious incitement” and for “hurting the religious feelings of Muslims”.

I wish I was making that up.  Here is the statement:

Have you ever in your life thought, after two U.S. embassies were attacked and seized by radical Islamists, in which multiple Americans were shot – one fatally – and an embassy was nearly burned to the ground, exactly 11 years to the day after the worst terrorist attack in American history perpetrated by similar radical Islamists, that you would ever see an administration actually issue an apology for ‘hurting the religious feelings of Muslims’?

Oh I know they’re trying to walk it back now, but weakness has already been shown. This will go down as the single most cowardly and disgraceful response to an attack on the fundamental American right of free speech in modern history.

Worse, it crossed the bounds of a mere protest when an American was shot and killed. It is a terrorist attack. And we apologized.

President ‘Gutsy Call’ is now officially operating under a foreign policy platform in which we as a nation are subservient to terrorism and slaves to appeasement.

Indeed, the administration is working fervently to backpedal on the apology, 17 hours after the fact.  But the damage is done.

Via Politico:

The Obama administration is disavowing a statement from its own Cairo embassy that seemed to apologize for anti-Muslim activity in the United States.

“The statement by Embassy Cairo was not cleared by Washington and does not reflect the views of the United States government,” an administration official told POLITICO.

The embassy came under widespread criticism for failing to defend free speech in the face of threats of violence. Egyptian protesters rioted anyway, breaching the embassy walls and tearing down the American flag.

The criticism has been warranted.  This may go down as one of the most embarrassing days in foreign policy history, and proves that having ‘we killed Osama bin laden’ as your biggest foreign policy platform isn’t enough.  Amateur hour in the White House needs to end in November.

Disgrace: President on "Pimp With The Limp" Show to Campaign on 9/11

September 12, 2012 at 7:00 am (9/11, Disgrace, DJ Laz, Lazaro Mendez, Medicare, Mitt Romney, Pimp With the Limp, President Obama, September 11th)

President Obama and Mitt Romney agreed to pull campaign ads on the 11-year anniversary of 9/11, in an attempt to quiet negative political conversations on a solemn day.

But that didn’t stop the President from making a complete ass of himself regardless, begging for volunteers and chatting it up on the airwaves with a hip hop DJ that goes by the name of “Pimp With the Limp”, a man previously charged with a felony weapons charges in 1993.

The President is a disgrace.

It started yesterday morning with Mitt Romney issuing this tweet (h/t Jammie Wearing Fools):

The President also decided to remember ‘this most somber day’, but in a vastly different manner:
That, if you can believe it, was the only tweet from Obama’s feed on 9/11 until well into the afternoon.  When conservative blogs such as JWF and Twitchy noticed, only then was another statement released.
As pathetic as that was, it does not compare to this…
Via the PJ Tatler:

Today, the same day that his twitter feed failed to acknowledge 9-11 at all and the same day that Egyptian protesters assaulted the US embassy in Cairo, the same day that the White House refused a meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel at the end of the month, President Obama took time out of his very busy schedule to do an interview with Miami’s DZ Laz aka “the Pimp with the Limp.”

Here is the audio clip:

The Miami Herald reports that the supposedly muted political day included Medi-scare tactics, claiming that the repeal of Obamacare would cause Medicare to go bankrupt.

Laz even got false ones.

For instance, Obama said that repealing Obamacare, which cut Medicare and helped extend the life of the program by eight years,  would cause the program to go “bankrupt by 2016.”

That’s not really true. If the cuts were repealed, a main hospital trust fund for Medicare would start to take in less than it pays out. But that’s not bankruptcy.

On the whole, Obama stayed on message, dropped a few pop culture references and reached an audience that seldom pays close attention to politics. He also avoided talking about 9/11 on 9/11’s anniversary, but** made time to mock the Dolphins bad record.

The Laz being referred to in the opening sentence is the “pimp with the limp’s” other radio name, DJ Laz.  DJ Laz has the given name, Lazaro Mendez.
Mendez himself gave an interview last year in which he discussed such noble causes as underage drinking and drinking on the job.
Mendez was also hit with a felony weapons charge in 1993, and was charged with petit larceny in 1997.
And more recently, one of Mendez guns was used in the murder-suicide of an associate, his associate’s wife, and her mother.
Despite both campaigns pledging not to play politics on the anniversary of 9/11, the President opted to attack Mitt Romney on a Florida hip hop station with a DJ that has a lengthy rap sheet, lying about the Romney/Ryan Medicare reform plan, and conducting negative campaigning on a day the country should have set aside politics.
This is, in a word, disgraceful.

The Luckiest – How 9/11 Saved My Life

September 11, 2012 at 8:46 am (9/11, Abortion, Heroes, September 11th, The Luckiest)

For many, Sept. 11, 2001, was a day that will forever be seared into the minds of those who were witness. On that day, the nation was awoken by a harsh reality that there are people who want nothing more than to destroy our freedom, our way of life. That morning, America was brutally scarred for life. It was a day that 19 hijackers, four airplanes, two towers, and one deranged ideology brought the threat of terrorism to the forefront in our country.

For when we think of 9/11, many things understandably come to mind. We think of death – the sheer number of Americans killed that day was staggering. We think of terrorists. We think of tragedy, of loss, of hopelessness. We remember watching over 3,000 of our friends and family dying that day, we remember the screams of the heroes on Flight 93, the screams of women and men, mothers and fathers, wives and husbands, who desperately made an attempt to take back a plane scheduled for a suicide mission which surely would have killed many more.

I always have one other thought however – I think of life, and how mine began that day.

In a powerful speech a couple of years ago, Sarah Palin framed the upcoming elections using an issue sometimes relegated to the backburner during turbulent economic times – abortion. According to her, the elections boiled down to candidates who favor a ‘culture of life’, and those who promote a ‘culture of death’.

There are several arguments made by those supporting legalized abortion, the health of mother and child, and cases of rape and incest being what resonates with most. Polling suggests that a very small fraction of abortions are performed for these extreme reasons. Problems arise mostly in those who view abortion as a matter of social and economic convenience. Herein lies a fundamental flaw with the pro-choice argument; a struggle to acknowledge the fact that a human life begins at conception, and that same life is not an inconvenience but rather, a necessity.

This has been a concept that I, myself, once struggled with. Exactly eleven years ago that personal struggle ended. For Americans, 9/11 has a singular tragic meaning related to the events we endured as a nation. For one man, it also served as an awakening; a transformation from a ‘culture of death’ mentality, to a conservative embracement of life.

The year prior to 9/11, when word was received of the pending birth of my first child, my reaction, much like the autumn breeze, was a bit chilly. I went so far as to heavily promote the idea of an abortion to my girlfriend. I had failed to recognize the value of life, and though my girlfriend fortunately had, she was unable to instill this in me.

Recognizing that this disagreement was going nowhere, my next move was one that would make any self-respecting coward proud – I ran. Frightened. From responsibility, from acceptance of my actions, from hard work, from any semblance of religious or family values, and the sanctity of life – I ran.

The summer of ‘01 arrived, along with the birth of my daughter, an event that I did not witness. The burden of knowing that I was a father, but was not acting as such, weighed heavily on my mind. Yet still, I took no action.

On September 11th, I drove home from work, having been released early due to the attack and subsequent security concerns. While driving home on the highway, mind numb in trying to process the day’s events, I passed under a bridge. Looking up, there was a man who looked more than a bit ragged, as if he had just awakened to hear the news of the attacks, and simply walked out of his house. Wearing disheveled clothes and a weary face, he somehow found himself standing on this bridge, arms raised skyward, holding the American flag.

Nearly four hours later, needing to clear my head, I decided to get back in my car and take a drive. My route brought me to that same highway, with that same bridge. Four hours later, the same man was still standing there, holding the flag up as high as he possibly could.

I broke down.

Here was a man who had reacted to the carnage witnessed earlier in the day by standing on a bridge and simply raising a flag for hours. It seemed he had no idea what to do, while simultaneously knowing that he had to do something. There were parallels to be drawn with my own situation. Now – finally – I had to do something.

Shortly afterward, I brought my daughter home for the first time. I sat alone with her in a recliner in my apartment, when she began to cry. Her father was truly petrified, as nothing was putting this baby at ease. Thinking back to the man on the bridge once more, I knew that I had to do something.

Just then, a frightened man with a wretched voice began to sing. The song was The Luckiest, by Ben Folds, and it meant the world to this little girl. If the song stopped for even an instant, she would begin to cry again. She needed me to sing that song for her in that moment. She needed me to embrace her, but nowhere near as much as her father needed the same. The ‘culture of life’ had found us both. And on that day, I had become – The Luckiest.

Abortion should not be wielded as a weapon of convenience, something I was guilty of doing. And life does indeed begin at conception, not solely for the child, but possibly, as in this case, for the mother and father as well.

Embracing the ‘culture of life’ allows one to understand what it feels like to actually live. To know what it feels like to have a morning begin with a child’s sticky kisses. To realize that the incessant racket of a child’s rattle can be the sweetest sound. To experience that moment of clarity where working overtime on that crucial project no longer makes sense, but watching your child chewing on her favorite crayons does.

With that, we remember the fallen that perished on this day. We remember the servicemen and women who continue to fight for the freedoms that we took for granted 11 years ago. We remember because we must never forget.

And now, I have the opportunity to reflect back on this day together with my eleven-year old daughter and realize that I am indeed – The Luckiest.

Romney Got Off Easy – Bush Was Accused of the "Niggerization of the American People"

August 16, 2012 at 10:08 pm (9/11, C-Span, CNN, Cornel West, George W. Bush, Kira Davis, Mitt Romney, MSNBC, Niggerization, Niggerization of America, PBS, President Bush, President Obama, Racism, Toure)

There is, understandably, plenty of outrage today after hearing MSNBC host Touré accuse Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney of what he called the “niggerization” of President Obama.

MSNBC’s Touré has now declared that Mitt Romney is engaged in the “niggerization” of Barack Obama. What exactly did Romney do to earn this reprehensible slur? He said that Obama, whose campaign has already called Romney a racist, a sexist, a felon, and a murderer, should “take [his] campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago.”

Why, precisely, did this comment constitute “niggerization,” and what did that vile word mean? Why was Touré invoking one of the most egregious slurs ever to enter the language? Well, let Touré explain:

“That really bothered me. You notice he said anger twice. He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us.

“I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘niggerization.’ You are not one of us, you are like the scary black man who we’ve been trained to fear.”

Appropriately, the level of disgust for such an outrageous slander has been great.  But there is one person who may believe Romney got off relatively easy for being accused of the “niggerization” of one man.

George W. Bush wasn’t similarly slandered for his actions towards any one person rather, he was accused of the “niggerization” of the entire “American people”.  And it wasn’t just that he was smeared with such a disgusting term, but that he was accused of using the events of 9/11 to achieve that goal.

So was it some hack blogger on the left who used such terminology?  Nay.

Bush was accused of promoting the “niggerization of the American people” by frequent guest of the Bill Maher Show, host on CNN, C-Span and PBS, and esteemed Professor at the University of Princeton, Cornel West.

In a piece for the Atlantic, West wrote:

Since the ugly events of 9/11, we have witnessed the attempt of the Bush administration—with elites in support and populists complacent—to promote the niggerization of the American people. Like the myopic white greed, fear, and hatred that fueled the niggerization of black people, right-wing greed, fear, and hatred have made all of us feel intimidated, fearful, and helpless in the face of the terrorist attacks. And, as in the 19th century, we’ve almost lost our democracy.

Additionally, West can be seen in this video comparing the backdrop of the Attica Rebellion to attitudes fostered by the ruling government party after 9/11.

West:  The Attica Rebellion was a counter move in that direction – I call it the “niggerization” of a people.  Not just black people because America been “niggerized” since 9/11.

Is it any wonder that Touré has referred to Professor West as a “genius”?

In the end, there’s nothing new to see here.  Just as it was acceptable for George Bush to be accused by liberals of “niggerizing” America, so too will it be acceptable for liberals to state that Mitt Romney is “niggerizing” Obama.

But let there be no doubt which side of the aisle the true racists sit.

Update:  Kira Davis provides a great video response to Toure.  The YouTube description:

Toure says Romney’s tactics are the “niggerization” of Obama. I take HUGE issue with that term and accusation, as someone with intimate knowledge of racism.

Shocking Report: Obama Canceled Mission to Kill Osama Bin Laden Three Times

July 29, 2012 at 9:29 pm (9/11, Al Qaeda, Cancelled Mission, Daily Caller, Indecision, Joe Biden, Navy SEAL, Osama Bin laden, Pakistan, President Obama, Robert Gates, Terrorist, Valerie Jarrett)

It was just over a year ago that Defense Secretary Robert Gates was hailing the President’s decision to raid the Osama bin Laden compound as a “gutsy call” and “one of the most courageous” he’s seen a president make.

Question:  Is it still considered a ‘gutsy call’ if you avoided making the decision three times prior to finally pulling it off?

A campaign ad from team Obama previously questioned whether or not Mitt Romney would have the courage to make such a decision, but now it appears the President himself couldn’t pull the trigger on raiding the bin Laden compound on multiple occasions.

In a new book due to be released in August titled, Leading from Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors Who Decide for Him, author Richard Miniter reveals that President Obama may have called off the mission kill Osama bin Laden on three separate occasions.

Part of the book description on Amazon reads:

Obama delayed and canceled the mission to kill Osama bin Laden three times and then committed an intelligence blunder that allowed dozens of high-level members of al Qaeda to escape.

A new report from the Daily Caller cites a portion of the chapter in Leading From Behind which deals with the topic.

At the urging of Valerie Jarrett, President Barack Obama canceled the operation to kill Osama bin Laden on three separate occasions before finally approving the May 2, 2011 Navy SEAL mission, according to an explosive new book scheduled for release August 21. The Daily Caller has seen a portion of the chapter in which the stunning revelation appears…

… Richard Miniter writes that Obama cancelled the “kill” mission in January 2011, again in February, and a third time in March. Obama’s close adviser Valerie Jarrett persuaded him to hold off each time, according to the book.

Miniter, a two-time New York Times best-selling author, cites an unnamed source with Joint Special Operations Command who had direct knowledge of the operation and its planning. Obama administration officials also said after the raid that the president had delayed giving the order to kill the arch-terrorist the day before the operation was carried out, in what turned out to be his fourth moment of indecision.

Perhaps Obama doesn’t, as Joe Biden once claimed, possess “a backbone like a ramrod” after all.

Shades of 9/11? TSA Allows Illegal Aliens to Attend Flight School Owned By Illegal Alien

July 19, 2012 at 9:00 am (9/11, Flying Lessons, Illegal Aliens, Illegal Aliens Attend Flight School, Illegal Immigrants, Janet Napolitano, Massachusetts, Pilot License, September 11th, Transportation Security Administration, TSA, WTF)

If you thought a story from earlier this week that 9/11 terrorists had won the right to postpone their trial due to religious consideration was insane, then you’re going to love this story.

Filed here under, WTF?

The government organization known as the TSA, charged with securing airports and preventing terrorist attacks similar to 9/11, has been allowing illegal aliens to take flying lessons at a flight school owned by an illegal alien.

CNS News reports:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) approved flight training for 25 illegal aliens at a Boston-area flight school that was owned by yet another illegal alien, according to the Government Accountability Office.

The illegal-alien flight-school attendees included eight who had entered the country illegally and 17 who had overstayed their allowed period of admission into the United States, according to an audit by the GAO.

Six of the illegal aliens were actually able to get pilot’s licenses.

So while TSA agents are actively scouring crotches in every major airport in the nation, pulling 80-year-old women aside, accosting 4-year-olds for allegedly harboring guns, and dragging disabled children aside for interrogation, potential terrorists have been roaming the skies freely, honing their craft in a potential steel missile.

Now where have we heard of this before?  Oh, right … 9/11.  Oh right … this guy …

The worst terrorist attack on American soil in history, and our government hasn’t learned that lesson.

All-American Blogger writes:

What in the world is going on in the Transportation Security Agency? How do you not only know about this and not send in Janet Napolitano and Janet Reno over to give the group the Waco treatment?

How can these incompetent nitwits claim to be keeping the skies safe? How can the look the American public in the eye and tell them another Mohammed Atta isn’t training for another 9/11 style attack in America today?

He is right, of course.  Nobody in this administration can tell the American people that they are safe in light of this news.

The report itself confirms this:

Stephen Lord, who is the GAO’s director of Homeland Security and Justice Issues, testified about the matter Wednesday in Rogers’ subcommittee. Rogers asked him: “Isn’t it true that, based on your report, the Transportation Security Administration cannot assure the American people that foreign terrorists are not in this country learning how to fly airplanes, yes or no?”

Lord responded: “At this time, no.”

Although the illegal alien who owned the Massachusetts flight school had not undergone a required TSA security threat assessment and had not been approved for flight training by the agency, he nonetheless held two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot licenses, also known as FAA certificates.

Somebody needs to be fired over this.  Unlike that other major national security scandal Fast and Furious, somebody needs to be held accountable.  And it starts at the top.
