Feds Again Consider Housing Gitmo Terrorists in US Prisons

November 29, 2012 at 11:00 am (California, Diane Feinstein, Gitmo, Guantanamo Bay, Jihad, President Obama, Terrorists)

Ready for some jihadists to serve jail time in your backyard?
Via Fox News:

The Democratic chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence committee commissioned a federal report to identify prison facilities in the U.S. that are suitable for housing Guantanamo detainees, concluding the option is viable — despite congressional opposition to such a plan when the Obama administration proposed it.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s renewed interest in the proposal first came to light Wednesday after Fox News turned up an internal Government Accountability Office document that refers to “Source of Work: Ms. Dianne Feinstein, Chair, Select Committee on Intelligence, U.S. Senate” and lists the “Gist of Work” as an investigation into whether domestic facilities could house the approximately 170 detainees remaining at the controversial facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Two hours after Fox News’ inquiry about the report, Feinstein’s office posted the report online and released a statement confirming that the California senator thinks the Obama administration’s controversial plan to relocate detainees to the United States is a viable option.

“This report demonstrates that if the political will exists, we could finally close Guantanamo without imperiling our national security,” Feinstein said. “The GAO report makes clear that numerous prisons exist inside the United States — operated by both the Department of Defense and the Department of Justice—capable of holding the 166 detainees who remain at Guantanamo in an environment that meets the security requirements.”

What could possibly go wrong?
It should be noted that the last time this idea was floated,  it received bipartisan condemnation.  For some reason,  Feinstein sees that as an opportunity to re–introduce the measure.
What do you think?

Fox’s Bob Beckel Explains Why People Become Nudists: They ‘Were Gang-Banged Probably’

November 21, 2012 at 8:29 am (Bob Beckel, California, Dana Perino, Fox News, Gang-Banged, Nudists, Nudity, San Francisco, Sexual Assault, The Five)

Um… er…

I’m at a loss.  Any ideas on why Bob Beckel, co-host of The Five, would explain away nudists by assuming they “were gang-banged” or “had sexual assault on them” as children?

Beckel usually let’s fly with some real winners when he starts shooting from the hip.  It does get him into some embarrassing situations.  For instance, this episode where he had the cast and crew in stitches trying to come up with the past tense for the word ‘tweet’.  For those not willing to click on the link, the word rhymed with ‘swat’.

Anyway, here it is via Mediaite:

During a Fox News segment on the ongoing fight over whether nudists should be allowed to walk the streets of San Francisco, The Five co-host Bob Beckel gave a rather colorful explanation for why people become nudists in their adult life.

The remarks came after co-host Dana Perino asked the table: “What happened to these people as children that they don’t want to wear any clothes?”

Andrea Tantaros said the nudists are “desperate for attention.”

“Most of them were gang banged probably,” Beckel chimed in. The two-shot camera showed Perino wincing in shock.

“I don’t know,” he continued over his co-hosts’ laughter and disbelief. “They could have had sexual assault on them?”

The camera stayed on him, as his co-hosts remained silent, and an irritated Beckel seemingly pushed back against the producers talking to him from the control room…

Democrat Who Compared Ryan to Nazis Abruptly Leaves DNC for "Root Canal"

September 4, 2012 at 9:34 am (California, Dentist, DNC, John Burton, Joseph Goebbels, Nancy Pelosi, Paul Ryan, Root Canal)

Apparently this is real.

California Democrat John Burton, who has recently come under fire for comparing Republicans in general, and Paul Ryan in particular, to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, has left the building at the Democrat National Convention.

Literally.

Pre-scheduled root canal?  If it was pre-scheduled, and such an absolute emergency that Burton needed to attend, then why head to Charlotte in the first place?
More like the Democrats told him to get out.  Which is far more than Nancy Pelosi did after hearing his ‘Republicans are Nazis’ diatribe.

Video: Nancy Pelosi Refuses to Condemn Democrat Who Compared Paul Ryan and Republicans to Nazis

September 3, 2012 at 4:15 pm (California, John Burton, Joseph Goebbels, Nancy Pelosi, Nazi, Nazis, New Tone, Paul Ryan)

Earlier this morning, we alerted you to a report that the Democrat Party Chair from California, John Burton, compared Paul Ryan and the GOP to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

From the Chronicle (who will be posting audio shortly):

Greetings from the California delegation breakfast at the DNC where before he had a cup of coffee Democratic Party Chair John Burton – much like his ol’ pal Guv Jerry Brown once did – just compared the Republicans to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, for “telling the big lie,” a reference to several falsehoods GOP VP nominee Paul Ryan recently told.

“They lie and they don’t care if people think they lie… Joseph Goebbels – it’s the big lie, you keep repeating it,” Burton said Monday before the Blake Hotel breakfast. He said Ryan told “a bold-faced lie and he doesn’t care that it was a lie. That was Goebbels, the big lie.”

The San Francisco Chronicle of all places has done a very good job of covering the story.  And now they’ve included a new video update with Burton and Nancy Pelosi standing side by side, in which the reporter asks Pelosi flat-out if she agrees with the Nazi reference.

Pelosi then goes on a brief tap-dancing session in which she doesn’t disavow Burton’s comments, but reiterates the statement that led to the comparison – that essentially Paul Ryan is lying.  She calls them ‘factual misrepresentations’ and instead of condemning the Nazi rhetoric, she makes some absurd comment about Republicans having “endless money to sell any misrepresentation to the American people”.

Breaking: California Democrat Compares Paul Ryan to Nazi Joseph Goebbels

September 3, 2012 at 11:23 am (California, Democrat, Democratic Party Chair, Jerry Brown, John Burton, Joseph Goebbels, Medicare, Nazi, Paul Ryan, President Obama)

New tone alert…

According to a just released report from the San Francisco Chronicle, California Democratic Party Chair John Burton compared Paul Ryan and the GOP to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

Let’s see how – or if – the media reports this outrageous comment.  Had this been a Republican, you would have already heard about it, as opposed to having to read it here.

Reminded that Brown drew heat for comparing the messaging of Meg Whitman’s 2010 GOP gubernatorial campaign to Goebbels, he said sarcastically, “(Bleep) that’s right, she won the election!

Burton shrugged at Brown getting in trouble. “He won it big. Goddam he was in trouble.”

Not only does he make the troubling comparison, but he shrugs it off and hints that it may be a good thing for  his future political aspirations.  Sadly, he may be right in a liberal cesspool like California.

Additionally, the Chronicle points out that Burton is wrong on his facts whilst accusing Ryan of lying.  Liars lie.

This video shows Burton railing against Ryan on his alleged ‘lies’, and referring to the vice-presidential candidate as a “horse’s ass”.

Update:  Audio of Burton’s comments…

White House Response to Solyndra Going Under? "Ugh."

August 3, 2012 at 9:00 am (Bankruptcy, California, Dan Pfeiffer, David Plouffe, Lis Smith, President Obama, Solyndra, Stephanie Cutter, Ugh, White House)

It was just a couple of weeks ago that the Obama campaign was still trying to spin the Solyndra debacle as a “successful and innovative” venture.

… campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith said. “In fact, both Republican and Democratic administrations advanced Solyndra’s application, and the company was widely praised as successful and innovative both before and after receiving the Department of Energy loan guarantee.”

A year ago yesterday however, the administration wasn’t quite as poetic when describing the plight of the company.  In an e-mail exchange involving Obama aides Dan Pfeiffer, Stephanie Cutter and David Plouffe, discussin of Solyndra’s demise prompted a one word response – “Ugh”.

Pfeiffer – “This is going to be a real pain, Solyndra is about to go under apparently.”

Cutter – “Ugh.”

What a symbolic representation of the fall of Obama’s pet solar project.   The California solar company, Solyndra, once heralded by the Obama administration as a prime example of how the Recovery Act created new jobs while promoting his vision of renewable energy, closed their doors.

Response?  Ugh.

Obama himself spoke at the facility, praising it as “a testament to American ingenuity and dynamism.”

Now?  Ugh.

Once a beacon of solar light in the progressive green jobs agenda, Solyndra received a $535 million federal loan with the help of newly minted energy secretary, Steven Chu, only to find themselves staring down bankruptcy and the release of more than 1,100 workers.

What say you, Mr. President?  Ugh.

Doug Ross reports on the “ugh” factor, citing a silver lining to be found in the Solyndra mess.  That the company’s executives maintained respect for the taxpayers as they bilked them out of millions of dollars.  And that the company remained environmentally conscious.  Both of which Ross sarcastically explains – are untrue.

He adds, “Stay tuned for the musical production, Solyndr-Ugh.”

New Low – Occupy Oakland Rallies in Support of Child Sex Trafficking

June 19, 2012 at 7:59 am (California, Children, HEAT, Occupy, Occupy Oakland, Occupy Wall Street, Sex, Sex Workers)

You read that correctly.  The dredges of the Earth otherwise known as the Occupy movement actually held a protest in support of child sex trafficking, including one woman’s sign which read ‘End Police Terror Against Minor + Adult Sex Workers’.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said ‘God bless them’?

Let me channel my inner Jeremiah Wright and say – No, not God bless the Occupy movement, God damn the Occupy movement.  Well this little faction anyway can go to hell…

From PJ Media (h/t All-American Blogger):

The protesters mostly were members of Occupy Oakland Patriarchy, a group within the overall Occupy movement tasked with overthrowing our civilization’s “patriarchy.”

The conference which so infuriated them was called HEAT Watch, short for the National Human Exploitation And Trafficking Watch Conference.

If there’s one issue that unites Americans of all political stripes, it’s the sexual enslavement of children. Whatever our opinions on other issues, we all agree that sex trafficking and the prostituting of children is an outrage and a tragedy. Thus, conference attendees included liberal, moderate and conservative politicians; progressive nonprofit organizations; law enforcement groups; religious leaders; and (according to the conference Web site) “social services, medical providers, mental health, education, probation, and community-based organizations.” In short: Everybody.

Everybody, that is, except Occupy Wall Street, who somehow found a way to oppose the abolition of child sexual slavery.

Here are a couple of images from the rally, courtesy of Zombie…

One stating that sex-trafficking enforcement is raaaacist:

And the aforementioned protester who believes enforcement equals police terror against ‘minor sex workers’.
Please click on the link for more – it does actually get worse.
The Occupy Albany movement actually look like choir boys compared to these losers out in Cali.

Planned Parenthood Praying For Abortion Business?

April 11, 2012 at 9:00 am (Abortion, California, Humboldt County, Life, Planned Parenthood, Prayer, Religion, War on Children)

Not sure what kind of prayer is involved with the termination of a child, but that’s not exactly a religion I’d like to be involved with.  This is a bit sickening – another salvo fired in the left’s War on Children.

LifeNews reports:

A local Planned Parenthood abortion business in California is copycatting the 40 Days for Life campaign, which recently resulted in saving the lives of more than 700 unborn children from abortion. The abortion business has set up its own 40 Days of Prayer for the local abortion center.
“We trust you to decide about your sexuality, having your children, and planning your family,” says a flier promoting the Humbolt County Clergy for Choice event. “We are religious leaders who value all human life.  We accept that religions differ about when life begins. We are here to help.”
“We believe that human life is holy. That’s why we believe in your right to choose to be a parent or not,” the pro-abortion religious leaders continue. “It can be helpful to talk with friends you trust, with licensed counselors, and with whatever religious person you choose.  Humboldt County Clergy are available to talk with you about the spiritual aspects of choice.  Find out more by calling Six Rivers Planned Parenthood.”

Holy.  Hell.

How can somebody be so disconnected from reality to say that they ‘believe that human life is holy’ while simultaneously promoting the act of ending life?

The flyer continues to provide specific ‘prayers’ for abortion throughout each of the 40 days, and can be seen below.

Nancy Pelosi Compares Obamacare to the Declaration of Independence

March 22, 2012 at 1:00 pm (Affordable Care Act, California, Declaration of Independence, Democrat, Healthcare, Liberty, Life, Nancy Pelosi, Obamacare, Pursuit of Happiness)

I wonder if our founding fathers, prior to signing the Declaration ever said, ‘we have to sign this, so you can find out what’s in it.’  Wait, no?

Via The Hill:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Wednesday evening that the 2010 healthcare law, which prompted complaints from conservatives that Democrats far exceeded their constitutional authority, actually helps people meet the goal outlined in the Declaration of Independence, which promotes mankind’s rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Speaking on the House floor, Pelosi called on her colleagues to remember “what our founders put forth in our founding documents, which is life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And that is exactly what the Affordable Care Act helps to guarantee.”
Pelosi explained that the law gives people the flexibility they need to pursue these goals, since it makes it easier for them to switch jobs in order to pursue their career or family goals.
“A healthier life, the liberty to pursue happiness, free of the constraints that lack of healthcare might provide to a family,” she said. “If you want to be photographer, a writer, an artist, a musician, you can do so. If you what to start a business, if you want to change jobs, under the Affordable Care Act, you have that liberty to pursue your happiness.”
And so that is why I’m so pleased that this week we can celebrate the two-year anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.”
