How ever did people make it to the polls on past election days?
Michelle Obama is concerned that her core constituency won’t be able to figure out how to get to their polling place if something inconvenient happens – like say, your toilet overflows.
First Lady Michelle Obama encouraged her husband’s supporters to vote early, because you may find your “toilet overflowing” on Election Day.
“You can also tell people that they don’t have to wait until November the 6th to cast their ballots because you can do it early,” Mrs. Obama told a crowd Friday at the University of Wisconsin in Wausau.
“On Monday I led by example: I mailed in my ballot early,” she said. “I voted for Barack Obama. And I did it because I want to spend Election Day really working to turn out the vote, and that’s something that you may want to think about doing.”
“You wake up on Election Day—you might have a cold, babysitter gets sick, it’s raining, car broke down, I mean I could go on—toilet overflowing,” she said, to a laughing audience. “There are so many ways to mess up a day when you don’t have a lot of time.”
Apparently, Democrats are not only too stupid to get themselves a proper photo ID when it comes to the elections, but they’re also too ignorant to locate a plunger in a reasonable amount of time.
If recovery means placing more people on food stamps than at any other time in our history, or seeing record numbers of people dropping completely out of the work force, then yes, we are in the midst of a huge recovery.
Via CNS News:
First Lady Michelle Obama said in a radio interview on Friday that the United States is in the “midst of a huge recovery” because of what “this president has done.”
Pablo Sato, co-host of Pablo & Free on WPGC 95.5, a Washington, D.C.-area hip-hop radio station, asked the first lady: “Mrs. Obama, you know what, in your words, tell us what you think the state of the union is in right now?”
Mrs. Obama said, “I mean, we are seeing right now that we are in the midst of a huge recovery. Right? Because of what this president has done.”
Median family income – significantly lower.
Gas prices – significantly higher.
National debt- $6 trillion greater.
Real unemployment – nearly doubled.
Food stamp spending – also nearly doubled.
Welcome to the huge recovery, America.
If you do show up to the polls on the 2nd, make sure you bring one of your little Occupy tents with you.
Michelle Obama, speaking yesterday at a campaign event in Florida:
So that one new voter that you register in your precinct — think about it — that one neighbor that you get to the polls on November the 2, I want you to understand, that could be the one that makes the difference. That one conversation, that one new volunteer you recruit, that could be the one that puts this over the top.
The presidential election this year is November 6.
Actually, we’d prefer it if all of the President’s supporters showed up on the 8th. Just trying to be helpful.
Actor Robert De Niro thrilled the crowd at a New York fundraiser headlined by first lady Michelle Obama when he listed the alternatives.
“Callista Gingrich. Karen Santorum. Ann Romney. Now do you really think our country is ready for a white first lady?” De Niro asked a star-studded crowd gathered in the backroom of Locanda Verde, a restaurant he owns on Greenwich Street in TriBeCa.
Someone in the crowd shouted, “No!” as De Niro quickly added, “Too soon, right?”
Celebrities including Beyonce, her mother Tina Knowles, Star Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Gayle King, Angela Bassett and Ben Stiller were spotted by the pool reporter at the 85-person event, where tickets started at $5,000 per person, benefiting the Obama Victory Fund. Film producer Harvey Weinstein, a bundler who’s brought in more than $500,000 in donation and was a guest at last week’s White House state dinner for British Prime Minister David Cameron, was also spotted at the event.
Mental Recession readers have voiced their opinion on the ideal choice to serve as First Lady, and the winner is Karen Santorum.
Who would make a better First Lady?
- Karen Santorum – 44%
- Michelle Obama – 20%
- Ann Romney – 17%
- Callista Gingrich – 10%
- Carol Wells (Paul) – 6%
Thanks to all who voted!
