VIDEO: Crowd Protests Israel, Hamas Launches Rocket, Crowd Runs For Their Lives

November 20, 2012 at 2:01 pm (Gaza, Hamas, Israel, Jerusalem, Palestinians, Rocket, Terrorist Attack)

The irony here is fascinating. A group of anti-Israel protesters were sent scattering as alarms went off in Jerusalem indicating a missile attack.  The rocket of course was launched by Gaza’s ruling Hamas movement.  Fortunately for these anti-Israel protesters, the missile missed them, landing instead in an olive grove.

Via Lebanon News (h/t Gateway Pundit):

A rocket fired from Gaza struck an olive grove near Jerusalem on Tuesday, an AFP correspondent and witnesses said, shortly before the UN chief arrived for talks on ending the Gaza crisis.

The attack was claimed by the armed wing of Gaza’s ruling Hamas movement, in the second such attempt to target Jerusalem in five days.

A loud explosion could be heard in southern Jerusalem shortly after air raid sirens sounded, with police and the army confirming a rocket had landed in an open area in the West Bank.

Also…

In Jerusalem, the sirens sparked panic, with cars screeching to a halt and people dashing for cover in the shadow of buildings, or crouching beside stationary vehicles, an AFP correspondent said.

But group of about 200 Palestinians demonstrating outside the Hebrew University against Israel’s ongoing bombing campaign over Gaza, now in its seventh day, started chanting: “Go for it, Gaza!”

Well, Gaza once again went for it with this rocket launch, but these particular protesters weren’t so brazen with their comments once the rocket started heading in their direction.

Here’s a video appropriately titled,  Anti israeli protesters run like rats when there’s a missile alarm.

In other words – Go for it, Gaza … but please wait until we can get the hell out of the way.
Why are they running anyway?  Had they watched MSNBC programming recently, they would know that Hamas rockets don’t actually do that much damage.

Child Killed in Iconic Propaganda Photo Was Killed by Hamas, Not Israel

November 19, 2012 at 8:06 am (Gaza, Hamas, Hisham Kandil, Ismail Haniyeh, Israel, Mohammed Sadallah, Palestine, Terrorist)

The image is heartbreaking – At a hospital in Gaza, Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Kandil kisses the forehead of a lifeless Palestinian child, while Hamas Prime Minsister Ismail Haniyeh cradles the boy in his arms.

The image made its way around the world, presenting a PR gift for Hamas, and a serious one for Israel.  The country that is doing nothing more than defending itself from terrorist attacks, was now being presented as the aggressor, and one that was launching attacks that were killing innocent children.

The problem is, the events surrounding the image were never real.

Via Honest Reporting:

While the boy was allegedly killed by an IDF airstrike, it occurred during the time that a ceasefire was in effect for the visit of the Egyptian PM. A ceasefire that Hamas broke, firing more rockets while even Israel refrained from launching airstrikes.
The truth has now emerged. Credit to some journalists for admitting, for once, that Israel was not the responsible party. The Sunday Telegraph reports (emphasis added):
But there were signs on Saturday that not all the Palestinian casualties have been the result of Israeli air strikes. The highly publicised death of four-year-old Mohammed Sadallah appeared to have been the result of a misfiring home-made rocket, not a bomb dropped by Israel.
The child’s death on Friday figured prominently in media coverage after Hisham Kandil, the Egyptian prime minister, was filmed lifting his dead body out of an ambulance. “The boy, the martyr, whose blood is still on my hands and clothes, is something that we cannot keep silent about,” he said, before promising to defend the Palestinian people.
But experts from the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights who visited the site on Saturday said they believed that the explosion was caused by a Palestinian rocket.

Turns out Hamas is not content with using children as human shields, they are also willing to prop up their dead bodies in an attempt to get world opinion on their side.  And as usual, the media is all too compliant in their efforts to denigrate Israel’s actions – a country simply trying to defend itself from terror.

Long: Gillibrand’s Democratic Party Platform an Insult to America’s Special Relationship to Israel

September 5, 2012 at 8:56 am (Bin Laden, Democray Party Platform, Hamas, Israel, Jerusalem, Kirsten Gillibrand, New York, Palestinians, Wendy Long)

Wendy Long is calling on Kirsten Gillibrand to explain why Democrats are abandoning Israel as a foreign policy priority.

In a snub to one of America’s most trusted allies, the 2012 Democratic Platform omits pro-Israel positions on Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees, and Hamas that have existed in past platforms, according to published reports.

“The Gillibrand-Democratic Party Platform is an insult to America’s special relationship with Israel. Simply bragging about killing Bin-Laden is not a foreign policy. It is not keeping Americans safe, nor will it keep New Yorkers safe, and it doesn’t reflect the special nature of America’s relationship to Israel,” said U.S. Senate candidate Wendy Long.

Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel

The 2004 and 2008 Democratic Party platforms declared that “Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel… It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.” The 2012 platform is silent on the issue, as President Obama has been.

Palestinian Refugees

Both the 2004 and 2008 Democratic Party platforms specify that Palestinian refugees should be allowed to settle in a future Palestinian state, not in Israel. The 2012 platform is silent on the issue.

Hamas

The 2008 Democratic Party platform articulated an isolation policy toward Hamas, “until it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel’s right to exist, and abides by past agreements.” Unfortunately, the 2012 party platform is silent on the issue.

Long added, “Senator Gillibrand needs to take a break from her phony gender-war mongering and focus on the real wars being fought in the Middle East, to promote the mutual interests of the United States, and strengthen our special relationship with our closest ally in the region, Israel.”

“I call upon Senator Gillibrand to denounce her party’s abandonment of Israel in the platform.”

Islamic Organization With Terror Ties Complains About – and Successfully Shuts Down – Event Celebrating the U.S. Constitution

April 30, 2012 at 3:11 pm (Ann Arbor, CAIR, Constitution, Hamas, Holy Land Foundation, Islam, Michigan, Muslim Brotherhood, Radical, Terror, Thomas More Law Center)

This is beyond outrageous.  Could somebody please explain to the officials running Michiganistan that they still live in America? … for the time being anyway.

Via Christian Newswire:

In the middle of an event to extol the virtues of the U.S. Constitution and “American Laws For American Courts,” the audience learned first-hand how easy it is to lose their freedom of Speech and Assembly.

Amid shouts of “What about free speech?” from the audience, the Allegan Police Department ordered the event shut-down. School officials notified police that they had received a letter complaining about the event from Dawud Walid, Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI). The letter asked the school to disallow the event despite an existing contract. CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism funding trial in U. S. history, U.S. v. Holy Land Foundation.

As a result, the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced today that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR- MI), its Executive Director, the City of Allegan, the Allegan Police Department and the School District were named as defendants in a thirty-four page civil rights lawsuit filed in the Federal District Court for the Western District of Michigan, this morning. The claims included constitutional and contract violations. Click here for copy of federal complaint.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Law Center commented, “It’s amazing how much clout CAIR has with the political establishment of both parties in Lansing and throughout Michigan and the nation. This, despite the fact that CAIR has its roots in the Muslim Brotherhood, was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial, and the FBI’s former chief of counterterrorism, noted that CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups.”

This isn’t some paranoid right-wing entity that ties every Islamic organization to terrorism.  CAIR’s ties to terrorist organizations are real and tangible.

Here is an excerpt from my report on the New York Times and the wrongfully discredited film, the Third Jihad.

Oddly enough, the strongest opposition has been from groups such as CAIR, a prime example of the organizations that are actually exposed in the film. Ryan Mauro points out that the ones trying to silence the film and who oppose its use as training material in law enforcement are the same ones who stand to lose the most from the films portrayal of radical Islam.

“What amazes me is how The New York Times and other outlets seem to treat CAIR as an objective source,” Mauro said. “We expose how CAIR and its allies grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood and the federal government has provided evidence tying them to Hamas—of course they are going to try to discredit us.”

Indeed, CAIR was one of three prominent Islamic organizations that were named as an ‘unindicted co-conspirator’ in a case alleging criminal conspiracy to support the Palestinian Arab terrorist group, Hamas. A report in The New York Sun documented this, while including the following statement:

“CAIR, in particular, has faced persistent claims that it is soft on terrorism. Critics note that several former CAIR officials have been convicted or deported after being charged with fraud, embargo violations, or aiding terrorist training. Spokesmen for the group have also raised eyebrows for offering generic denunciations of terrorism but refusing to condemn by name specific Islamic terrorist groups such as Hamas or Hezbollah.”

Yet the group had little trouble calling out the New York Police Department, their commissioner Ray Kelly, the mayor of New York, and the filmmakers specifically by name when denouncing something critical of CAIR itself.

That same Sun report, however, featured FBI officials that still felt the designation of co-conspirator was not warranted. A mere two years later though, they had come to the realization that CAIR’s relationship to Hamas was real, severing its once-close ties to the organization, and labeling them as nothing more than a front for the terrorist group. Executive Director of CAIR, Nihad Awad, was shown to have participated in planning meetings with the Holy Land Foundation, five officials of which were convicted in December of funneling $12.4 million to Hamas. Not only is Hamas an official U.S.-designated terrorist group, according to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, but it is illegal to provide support for it within the United States.

The rest of the report can be read here…

Ironically, the opening to that report seems appropriate for this new situation in Michigan.

Imagine a nation bound so tightly to the throws of the politically correct, that it can no longer defend itself. A nation so overcome with fear, that the common sense act of targeting the most likely terrorists is no longer considered an acceptable practice. Imagine an entire nation transformed from the basic understanding that it is at war with radicals willing to launch themselves as missiles into twin towers, to having the discussion turned completely on its head, to the point where even talking about that enemy is deemed taboo.

Thanks to the … brazen demands of terror-linked groups, America no longer has to imagine. We’re living it.

We’re living it indeed.  The Constitution takes second place to the demands of a terror-linked Islamic organization.  How easily we have forgotten that America comes first, and CAIR does not represent America’s best interests – they represent their own.
