Report: Documents Show Specific Iranian Design Plans for a Powerful Nuclear Bomb

November 28, 2012 at 1:07 pm (Iran, Israel, Nuclear Bomb)

But the sanctions are working…

Via Israel National News (h/t Weasel Zippers):
Iran is planning to build a nuclear bomb with at least triple the force of the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima in World War II, diagrams obtained by the Associated Press indicates. According to AP, the diagrams were first  discovered by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) scientists after an inspection of an Iranian nuclear facility. The document was published by the AP Tuesday after, the news agency said, it was leaked by officials critical of the way the West has been handling the Iran issue.

The diagrams discovered by the IAEA show Iranian scientists calculating the desired “nuclear explosive yield” in a device they were apparently working on. IAEA inspectors described the diagrams in a report, and a senior official who is working with the Geneva-based UN organization confirmed that the diagrams obtained by AP were the same ones mentioned in the report.

The diagrams showed a scientific calculation of the expected yield of a nuclear device, with a maximum force of 50 kilotons, experts who saw the AP diagrams said. There was no possibility that the diagrams referred to a process other than construction of a nuclear weapon, the experts said.

If Iran is indeed designing a nuclear weapon with a 50 kiloton yield, it will be significantly stronger than the bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan during World War II, which were only 15 kilotons powerful. Nuclear weapons held by the U.S., Russia, and other countries are significantly stronger than a bomb with a 50 kiloton yield.

Report: Did the Obama Administration Withhold Information on an Iranian Attack on a US Drone?

November 8, 2012 at 5:06 pm (CNN, Drone, Fighter Jet, Iran, Kuwait, Obama Administration, Pentagon, Persian Gulf, Predator, Su-25)

Brace yourself, this is but one of many, many things we will be finding out about now that the election is behind us.

CNN reports:

Two Iranian Su-25 fighter jets fired on an unarmed U.S. Air Force Predator drone in the Persian Gulf last week, CNN has learned.

The incident raises fresh concerns within the Obama administration about Iranian military aggression in crucial Gulf oil shipping lanes.

The drone was in international airspace east of Kuwait, U.S. officials said, adding it was engaged in routine maritime surveillance.

Although the drone was not hit, the Pentagon is concerned.

This incident occurred on November 1st.  The American media heard nothing about it until today.  The CNN report confirms that the Obama administration did not disclose the incident, which is tantamount to intentionally keeping it from public consumption.

The Obama administration did not disclose the incident, which occurred just days before the presidential election on November 1, but three senior officials confirmed the details to CNN.

Now that the election is over however, the incident is fair game to report on.  As will be the Benghazi scandal.  This administration has – and will continue to – put political aspirations well ahead of national security.

One journalist asked an American defense official if the reason it wasn’t reported was due to the Iranian fighter jet’s inability to actually hit the drone.  The response was, ““it doesn’t matter, they fired on us.”

In other words, there was no good discernible reason to not report the incident.  And yet, we’re just finding out about it now.

(Watch) Biden Asks ‘How Many Know Someone Who Served In Iraq and Iran’ – Harry Reid Raises Hand

October 18, 2012 at 4:25 pm (Harry Reid, Iran, Iraq, Joe Biden, Las Vegas, Mensa, Nevada, Troops)

Joltin’ Joe commits a gaffe, and Dirty Harry plays right along.

At a campaign stop in Las Vegas, Joe Biden asked people in the crowd how many of them know someone who has served in … Iran?

While most of us would have sat there in stunned silence, Harry Reid can be seen in the background raising his hand like a schoolboy dying to give the teacher an answer.

And guess what happens next … Joe asks another question – How many know someone who has been injured or lost in Iraq or Iran?  And Reid raises his hand again!

I wasn’t aware that we had any troops on the ground in Iran.  Thanks for the history lesson, Joe!

Watch these two Mensa candidates in action…

Bolton: "We Need a Real President in the White House"

October 15, 2012 at 9:00 am (Bin Laden, Iran, John Bolton, Middle East, Nuclear Weapon, President Obama, Real President, United Nations, White House)

Do we ever.

Via the Shark Tank:

Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton addressed a group of predominantly Jewish Republicans that totaled about 300 in Boca Raton.  Bolton was there to shed some light on the ongoing issues in the Middle East that President Obama continues to discount or ignore, including the imminent danger posed by Iran to the rest of world were they are able to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Bolton also stated that President Obama did not have any credibility with Iran.

“We need a real President in the White House, with real credibility.”

See, from listening to the Obama campaign, I was under the impression that all other countries feared our strength because, you know … Bin Laden!

Netanyahu Talks Down to Obama’s Level, Brings Bomb Chart to Demonstrate the Iranian Threat

September 27, 2012 at 7:00 pm (Benjamin Netanyahu, Bomb, Iran, Israel, Nuclear, President Obama, United Nations)

Apparently frustrated with the United Nations inability to understand that Iran is on the verge of becoming a nuclear threat, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to provide visual aids to accompany his speech today.

It was a direct call to action toward the Obama administration.  And he was clearly speaking in very simple terms so as not to be misunderstood.  Watch video below…
Fox News reports:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a dramatic speech to the United Nations, employed a simple diagram to hammer home his plea that the international community set a “clear red line” over Iran’s nuclear program — warning that a nuclear-armed Iran would be tantamount to a nuclear-armed Al Qaeda.

Netanyahu claimed Thursday that Iran would have enough enriched uranium to make a nuclear bomb by next summer. His remarks before the U.N. General Assembly amounted to an appeal to the U.S. and other nations to join Israel in drawing a line that Iran cannot cross without risking a military response.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu brought a visual aid with him today to the United Nations General Assembly.

He drew a RED LINE on the bomb chart.

During his speech the Israeli Prime Minister explained to the audience that the Iranian regime had already completed the first stage of their nuclear program. The regime is working on the second stage. Netanyahu urged the members to draw a red line before the Iranians complete the second stage of their program.

This was a very effective presentation.

Obama Provides Free Parking For Ahmadinejad’s ‘Iran Air’ Plane

September 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm (Benjamin Netanyahu, Iran, Iran Air, Israel, Joint Base Andrews, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President Obama, The View, United Nations, Washington)

It’s a Presidential love triangle gone awry.  While Obama has openly dumped one of our most important ally’s in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for an appearance with the ladies of The View, he has also been showering Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with gifts – such as free parking for his Boeing 747 in Washington.

The plane, named “Iran Air”, exchanged fleeting glances with the President’s plane.

Via the Washington Post:

Free parking is hard to find in Washington — but not, apparently, for the Boeing 747 that ferried Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to this week’s United Nations General Assembly gathering in New York.

That plane, emblazoned with the “Iran Air” logo, was parked Wednesday at Joint Base Andrews — the same air field where Air Force One is stored. In fact, President Obama taxied past the Iranian jet on his way to two campaign events in Ohio.

Awww…  How sweet.

CBS: For Obama, Diplomacy "Taking a Backseat to Campaigning"

September 25, 2012 at 10:40 am (Benghazi, Bumps in the Road, Iran, Israel, Libya, Middle East, Syria, The View, United Nations, White House, World Leaders)

You know it’s bad when the normally compliant lapdog media rips the President for forsaking his job over a chance to campaign on The View.

Via CBS:

President Obama arrived in New York Monday afternoon for the United Nations General Assembly. One of the main topics of discussion at this annual meeting will be the recent unrest outside U.S. embassies in the Muslim world, including an attack in Benghazi, Libya, which claimed the lives of four Americans. But unlike years past, the president will not be sitting down with any of the more than 120 world leaders who are here in New York.

Simply put, the White House is prioritizing the president’s reelection effort. Most heads of state will be here all week, but the president will be in New York less than 24 hours, and even then will spend most of his time away from this conference.

After landing in New York Monday afternoon, the president headed straight for a sit-down –not with visiting leaders, but with the ladies of “The View,” for an interview to air tomorrow.

Last year at the U.N. General Assembly, President Obama held 13 one-on-one meetings with major leaders.

But this year diplomacy is taking a back seat to campaigning, despite a worsening civil war in Syria, rising tensions between Israel and Iran, and the recent attack in Libya.

What CBS fails to understand is that watching U.S. buildings burn to the ground, and diplomats being murdered at the hands of Islamic extremists across the Middle East isn’t that big of a deal.

They’re just “bumps in the road“, topics hardly worthy of taking the time to actually act like a President.  This man is a rock star people, and the ladies of The View demand his time.

World leaders?  He’ll call them … maybe.

Coolest Virus Ever? Iran Hit With Worm That Turns Computers on and Blasts AC/DC’s Thunderstruck

July 25, 2012 at 9:00 am (AC/DC, Finland, Iran, Iranian Regime, Nuclear, Nuclear Program, Scientist, Thunderstruck, Virus)

These computer geeks were metal, before metal was cool.

Several Iranian nuclear facilities have reportedly been hit with a virus that turns their workstation computers on in the middle of the night, transforming them into a personal AC/DC concert, pumping out the song Thunderstruck through the speakers at full volume.

Mediaite reports:

The news came from a chief research officer at a computer security firm in Finland, who said he recently received several e-mails from an Iranian scientist.

“I am writing you to inform you that our nuclear program has once again been compromised and attacked by a new worm with exploits which have shut down our automation network at Natanz and another facility Fordo near Qom.”

The Iranian scientist goes on to say that they believe the attackers used Metasploit, a common hacking tool which provides a variety of ways to penetrate supposedly secure networks. “There was also some music playing randomly on several of the workstations during the middle of the night with the volume maxed out,” says the scientist. “I believe it was playing ‘Thunderstruck’ by AC/DC.”

No one knows exactly who is responsible for the hack yet, but if whoever’s doing this is taking requests, do you know “Highway to Hell”?

For you youngins out there, this is the song in question…

You’ve been … Thunderstruck!
And you’re welcome.

Obama Tells Israel Not to Strike Iran – Until After the Elections

March 12, 2012 at 12:00 pm (2012 Election, Benjamin Netanyahu, Iran, Israel, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Nuclear, President Obama, Weapon, White House)

Many in the international community believe that Iran is mere months away from having nuclear capability.  Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has stated that Israel must be “wiped off the map.”  So with the possible annihilation of Israel at stake, what is the leading factor in determining how and when to respond to Iran?  In Obama’s world, it’s all about his re-election campaign.

Via YNet News:

White House tells Sunday Times Obama pressed Netanyahu to postpone Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities until after November, adding president ‘might visit Israel in summer’
Israel will only strike Iranian nuclear facilities in September or after the United States presidential elections in November, a White House official told the British Sunday Times newspaper after a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama last week.
According to the report, Obama has taken Israel’s warnings about a possible strike in Iran very seriously. The Washington source added that the president “might visit in the summer to reassure the Israelis that the US commitment to defend Israel is unshakable and thus thwart a possible autumn attack.”
Obama insisted that any attack on Iran should be postponed until after the US presidential elections in November, possibly even until next spring. The source revealed that Netanyahu consented to delaying a strike, but wished to know until when. “The question is how much time,” he reportedly said.
The White House source added that Netanyahu presented a number of demands Iran must fulfill in order to avoid an Israeli attack, including transferring 150 kilograms (330 pounds) of enriched uranium to a third party, stopping the enrichment process at the Fordow site near Qom and ceasing any further enrichment beyond the 3.5% required for power generation.

Because we wouldn’t want poor Obama to have to act like a world leader in the months leading up to the election, now would we?  He may have to feign concern for a U.S. ally…
