New Video Rips Biden for ‘Laughing at the Issues’

October 12, 2012 at 9:34 am (Debate, Joe Being Joe, Joe Biden, Laughing, Paul Ryan, Vice-Presidential Debate)

Talk about a rapid response…

Via the GOP:

New RNC Ad: Vice President Biden is laughing… are you? At the 2012 Vice Presidential debate, Vice President Biden spent 90 minutes laughing and rolling his eyes to try and distract from his inability to defend the last four years and provide a vision for the next four.

I’m not quite sure what is so funny about stagnant job growth and a nuclear armed Iran, but Joe certainly seems to think it’s hilarious.  Does this look like a man who’s serious about the problems our nation faces?
Joe being Joe…

Obama Campaign Manager: Benghazi Attack Only an Issue Because of Romney and Ryan

October 11, 2012 at 3:06 pm (Benghazi, Bumps in the Road, Libya, Mitt Romney, Obama Administration, Paul Ryan, President Obama, Stephanie Cutter, Terrorist Attack)

Shorter translation – the American people don’t have a right to know what happened in Benghazi, and if it weren’t for those meddling Republicans, they wouldn’t be asking so many questions.

Washington Free Beacon:

Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said Thursday that the “entire reason” the terrorist attack at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi that killed four Americans has “become the political topic it is” is because Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan talk about the attack.

STEPHANIE CUTTER: In terms of the politicization of this — you know, we are here at a debate, and I hope we get to talk about the debate — but the entire reason this has become the political topic it is, is because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. It’s a big part of their stump speech. And it’s reckless and irresponsible what they’re doing.

BROOKE BALDWIN: But, Stephanie, this is national security. As we witnessed this revolution last year, we covered it–

CUTTER: It is absolutely national security–

BALDWIN: –it is absolutely pertinent. People in the American public absolutely have a right to get answers.

The audacity of this woman to equate the realization by Romney and Ryan that the American people, and even more so, the families of those who died in Benghazi, have the right to ask questions about what happened and why it happened, to a political ploy is jaw-dropping.
This is an issue Ms. Cutter, because the people want to know why the administration didn’t do more to protect these Americans, why they covered up what really happened, and why you and your cohorts continue to view the terrorist attack in Benghazi as a ‘bump in the road’.
This woman is sick.

Paul Ryan: It’s Time For Eric Holder to Step Aside

October 2, 2012 at 7:26 pm (Attorney General, Department of Justice, Eric Holder, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, President Obama)

That time was long, long ago.

Paul Ryan earlier today sent this e-mail to Romney supporters, calling for Attorney General Eric Holder to resign, and urging voters to replace both he and President Obama in November.

It’s time for Attorney General Holder to step aside.

He’s misled Congress, and entirely botched the investigation of the Operation Fast and Furious debacle — yet he still leads our nation’s Justice Department.

It’s just another example of the Obama Administration’s transparent hypocrisy that despite the tragic and very human toll of this scandal, Attorney General Holder refuses to resign — and President Obama refuses to remove him.

It’s up to the American people to replace both of them on November 6. Let’s call it “The Clear Choice.”

Donate now to vote Barack Obama and Attorney General Holder out of office on Election Day — so that Mitt Romney and I can restore justice to the Justice Department.

Thank you,

Paul Ryan

Meanwhile, as we all wonder why Holder hasn’t already resigned as a show of respect to the lives his department have permanently destroyed, Univision is continuing to report on guns from Fast and Furious being used in other murders, possibly as late as the summer of 2011.

Via the Daily Caller:

When Mexican authorities took Juarez drug cartel carnage king Jose Antonio Acosta Hernandez — better known as “El Diego” — into custody, he had weapons from Operation Fast and Furious on his person, the English-language transcript of the Spanish-language television network Univision’s special investigation into the scandal shows.

“According to investigations, ‘El Diego’ forms the link between this massacre and Fast and Furious,” an anchor read on air in Spanish Sunday evening, referring to two different mass killings drug cartel operatives used Fast and Furious weapons to conduct as Univision reported.

“When he [El Diego] was captured in Chihuahua in the summer of 2011, he was found with weapons that the American government had allowed to enter Mexico,” the anchor added.

El Diego was, until he was taken into custody, the leader of the Juarez drug cartel’s La Linea — or “enforcement arm.” According to the El Paso Times, El Diego told Mexican authorities after his capture that La Linea’s mission was, among other things, to “eliminate the members of the Sinaloa cartel in Ciudad Juárez.”

Holder should indeed step aside.

Paul Ryan: This Is Not What a Recovery Looks Like

September 7, 2012 at 11:19 am (2012 Election, CNBC, Economy, Jobs, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Vice President)

No, but it is what failure looks like.  It is what the result of electing a man with no real experience in working jobs, let alone creating jobs, looks like.

Obama isn’t working, and now, neither are another 368,000 able-bodied Americans.

Paul Ryan today on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street:

“Carl, this is not even close to what a recovery looks like. Look, we would need to actually have 150,000 jobs created just to keep at pace with population growth. This is not what President Obama promised. I would argue this is the result of failed leadership in Washington, bad fiscal policy coming from the administration and that is why we have this very tepid report. For every net one job created, four people — nearly four people left the workforce. So this is not what a recovery looks like. We need growth. We need economic growth and we can get that if we get the right policies in place. That’s what Mitt Romney and I are proposing, specific solutions, pro-growth economic policies to get the kind of growth we ought to be having in this economy to get people back to work.”

Guest Post: PLEASE HELP – Teach Democrats Not to Cheapen Holocaust With Fake Nazi References

September 5, 2012 at 3:51 pm (Adolf Hitler, Democrats, Dick Harpootlian, Eva Braun, Holocaust, Joseph Goebbels, Nazis, Nikki Haley, Pat Lehman, Paul Ryan, Republicans, Yid with Lid)

The following post is from one of New York’s finest bloggers known as Yid With Lid.  With the Democrats making their third reference thus far comparing Republicans to Nazis, the emotion with which Lid writes can not be heightened with further commentary.  So simply read and help…

How Dare They!!!  Why do Democrats keep on cheapening the memory of the Holocaust with inappropriate references to the Holocaust?

Today it was South Carolina Democratic Party chairman Dick Harpootlian who, according to Adam Beam, reporter for South Carolina’s The State newspaper,  likened Republican GOP governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina to Eva Braun, the wife of Nazi tyrant Adolph Hitler.

According to Beam:

S.C. Democratic Chairman Dick Harpootlian, never a loss for a quick quip, tossed a few stinging one-liners at the Wednesday delegation breakfast.

On Gov. Nikki Haley participating in daily news briefings in a basement studio at the NASCAR Hall of Fame: ‘She was down in the bunker a la Eva Braun.’

This comes on top of Pat Lehman described as the Dean of the Kansas delegation comparing Paul Ryan to Hitler:

Lehman said Republicans, especially vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, are on track to “dismantle Medicare and Medicaid and every other social program, including education.”

She said education is the only route most Americans can use to improve their lives and “the thought of having our public education system basically devastated, I’m really worried about that.”

Lehman said her biggest concern about the election itself is voter-identification laws that Republicans have pushed through in a number of states, including Kansas.

She said the purpose is to suppress the vote, especially among Democratic-leaning constituencies such as elderly voters. And she scorned the Republicans’ contention that the laws are designed to combat voter fraud.

“It’s like Hitler said, if you’re going to tell a lie, tell a big lie, and if you tell it often enough and say it in a loud enough voice, some people are going to believe you,” Lehman said.

… and  the chair of the California Democratic Party John Burton comparing Paul Ryan and the GOP to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.  A statement that Nancy Pelosi agreed with.

Normally I would say something like Could you imagine what would happen if a Republican called Biden a Nazi? But since its a Democrat smearing a GOP candidate….this is OK.

Or.. Every time idiots like these use a term like Nazi for a political argument he makes it less horrible and the memory of what they did less horrible also. But to be honest I am sick and tired of the Democrats and their fake Holocaust references.  So I would like to address the violators personally, and need your help (more on that in a second).

I would like to ask Dick Harpootlian a question…I have many relatives with this on their arm:

Hitler chose that method of identifying his victims because tattooing is prohibited in the Jewish faith.  Is this what you meant when you compared Nikki Haley to Eva Braun?

Now this is where you can get involved. Please download the picture above and tweet it to Mr. Harpootlian at the SC Democratic Party @scdp and ask him if this is what he meant.

I would like to ask Pat Lehman the Dean of the Kansas delegation. Hitler did this to many of my relatives:

Is this what you meant when you compared Paul Ryan to Hitler?

Please consider downloading the picture above and tweeting it and the question to Pat. You can reach her at the Kansas Democratic party@kansasdems.

And to California Democratic Party John Burton who left the convention for Root Canal. Do you know that after the Nazi’s gassed their victims they collected their hair, their clothes, glasses, gold teeth and even artificial limbs to be used by the Reich?

When you compared Paul Ryan to Goebbels, did you mean he did horrible things like gassing innocent victims an collecting their gold teeth and artificial limbs?

Please do the same with Burton as with the other two he can be reached at the California Democratic Party @ca_dem.

Why is it so important to ask these Democrats these particular questions?  Because if the subject of their Nazi comparison didn’t force people to put tattoos on their arms, crowd them in to death camps where they would suffer torture till they were gassed shot or died some other horrible death, then mutilated their corpses by taking out what can be reused…if they didn’t do any of that, or anything like it…their Nazi reference is not only false and inappropriate, but insensitive to the victims who suffered during the Holocaust and their families.

Democrat Who Compared Ryan to Nazis Abruptly Leaves DNC for "Root Canal"

September 4, 2012 at 9:34 am (California, Dentist, DNC, John Burton, Joseph Goebbels, Nancy Pelosi, Paul Ryan, Root Canal)

Apparently this is real.

California Democrat John Burton, who has recently come under fire for comparing Republicans in general, and Paul Ryan in particular, to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, has left the building at the Democrat National Convention.

Literally.

Pre-scheduled root canal?  If it was pre-scheduled, and such an absolute emergency that Burton needed to attend, then why head to Charlotte in the first place?
More like the Democrats told him to get out.  Which is far more than Nancy Pelosi did after hearing his ‘Republicans are Nazis’ diatribe.

Video: Nancy Pelosi Refuses to Condemn Democrat Who Compared Paul Ryan and Republicans to Nazis

September 3, 2012 at 4:15 pm (California, John Burton, Joseph Goebbels, Nancy Pelosi, Nazi, Nazis, New Tone, Paul Ryan)

Earlier this morning, we alerted you to a report that the Democrat Party Chair from California, John Burton, compared Paul Ryan and the GOP to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

From the Chronicle (who will be posting audio shortly):

Greetings from the California delegation breakfast at the DNC where before he had a cup of coffee Democratic Party Chair John Burton – much like his ol’ pal Guv Jerry Brown once did – just compared the Republicans to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels, for “telling the big lie,” a reference to several falsehoods GOP VP nominee Paul Ryan recently told.

“They lie and they don’t care if people think they lie… Joseph Goebbels – it’s the big lie, you keep repeating it,” Burton said Monday before the Blake Hotel breakfast. He said Ryan told “a bold-faced lie and he doesn’t care that it was a lie. That was Goebbels, the big lie.”

The San Francisco Chronicle of all places has done a very good job of covering the story.  And now they’ve included a new video update with Burton and Nancy Pelosi standing side by side, in which the reporter asks Pelosi flat-out if she agrees with the Nazi reference.

Pelosi then goes on a brief tap-dancing session in which she doesn’t disavow Burton’s comments, but reiterates the statement that led to the comparison – that essentially Paul Ryan is lying.  She calls them ‘factual misrepresentations’ and instead of condemning the Nazi rhetoric, she makes some absurd comment about Republicans having “endless money to sell any misrepresentation to the American people”.

Breaking: California Democrat Compares Paul Ryan to Nazi Joseph Goebbels

September 3, 2012 at 11:23 am (California, Democrat, Democratic Party Chair, Jerry Brown, John Burton, Joseph Goebbels, Medicare, Nazi, Paul Ryan, President Obama)

New tone alert…

According to a just released report from the San Francisco Chronicle, California Democratic Party Chair John Burton compared Paul Ryan and the GOP to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

Let’s see how – or if – the media reports this outrageous comment.  Had this been a Republican, you would have already heard about it, as opposed to having to read it here.

Reminded that Brown drew heat for comparing the messaging of Meg Whitman’s 2010 GOP gubernatorial campaign to Goebbels, he said sarcastically, “(Bleep) that’s right, she won the election!

Burton shrugged at Brown getting in trouble. “He won it big. Goddam he was in trouble.”

Not only does he make the troubling comparison, but he shrugs it off and hints that it may be a good thing for  his future political aspirations.  Sadly, he may be right in a liberal cesspool like California.

Additionally, the Chronicle points out that Burton is wrong on his facts whilst accusing Ryan of lying.  Liars lie.

This video shows Burton railing against Ryan on his alleged ‘lies’, and referring to the vice-presidential candidate as a “horse’s ass”.

Update:  Audio of Burton’s comments…

Pro-Obama Blogger Peddling ‘Republicans Want Rapists to be Fathers’ Imagery

August 30, 2012 at 12:18 pm (BlogHer, Erin Kotecki Vest, Fatherhood, Huffington post, Paul Ryan, President Obama, Rapists, Visitation Rights)

You’d think an image of a man violently covering a frightened woman’s mouth, accompanied with the words, “He’s decided to become a father…right-wing Republicans want to make sure he does”, would be considered mildly extreme, right?

Not extreme enough for Huffington Post contributor and pro-Obama blogger, Erin Kotecki Vest.

Tony Katz reports:

Progressive blogger Erin Kotecki Vest posted the photo on her Facebook page. When asked if she was saying that the GOP condones rape, she replied: (and gave her permission to be quoted)

“Tony I am saying – and you can quote me – that the GOP is making sure rapists become fathers. Just like this graphic says. i did not say the GOP condones rape. I said the GOP is making sure rapists become fathers. Which is a FACT based on the GOP party platform as written, drafted and acceptd”

Vest doesn’t come out directly to confirm what the photo says, side stepping that obvious reality by saying that the GOP is making sure rapists become fathers. By any standard, this is not low. This is disgusting.

The group that created the image, and the group that Vest is promoting and in agreement with, also features an image on their Facebook page which reads:

Woman is legitimately raped
Woman gets pregnant
Woman has baby

Do you think the rapist deserves visitation rights?

This guy does

Vice-Presidential candidate Paul Ryan

It is an incredible leap of logic to travel in one’s mind from a pro-life platform to an assertion that Paul Ryan wants rapists to have visitation rights.

The fact that Vest is peddling such ridiculous imagery is important.  Aside from being a prolific blogger for the Huffington Post, she also serves as Social Media Director for BlogHer, Inc., an organization that President Obama recently spoke to.

Vest can also be seen on the Barack Obama campaign website, touting the President’s healthcare reform. Her blog posts demonstrate that she is a leader and contributor for the organization Parents For Obama.

While re-posting an image on Facebook does not translate to supporting the message, Vest has doubled down by writing, “the GOP is making sure rapists become fathers”.

This is unhinged thinking befitting of a typical lefty blogger, but perhaps less so for the Social Media Director with a significant organization.  And worse, a woman featured on the Obama campaign website as a supporter of the President, and leader of the group Parents For Obama.

NY GOP Hammers Comptroller Tom DiNapoli For His Partisan Attacks

August 20, 2012 at 7:00 am (Albany, Buffett Rule, Comptroller, GOP, Mitt Romney, New York, Non-Partisan, Partisan, Paul Ryan, President Obama, Thomas DiNapoli, Tom DiNapoli)

Yesterday, the New York GOP released the following statement in response to Comptroller DiNapoli’s comments regarding Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan:

Tom DiNapoli is what happens when you take a career politician with no experience in economics, but make him Comptroller anyway.

The man responsible for oversight of New York’s budget and finances just said that although he can’t come up with “a hard number,” he was certain that the Romney-Ryan plan would be “incredibly devastating” for New York.

The role of the Comptroller is to be fair, honest and nonpartisan. His public statements should be based on facts, not biased speculation.

Well here are the facts: the Obama White House hasn’t produced a serious federal budget since 2009, with the Democrat-controlled Senate voting down his last two budgets 99-0 and 97-0.

Obama’s plan for solving the Nation’s fiscal crisis, “tax the rich!”, is unserious (Obama’s beloved “Buffett Rule” would raise a paltry $47 billion over ten years, against projected trillion dollar yearly deficits ), deliberately divisive, and hits high-income New York worse than almost any other state.

Where is Tom DiNapoli’s outrage over Obama’s failure to manage America’s finances?

Back in New York, the New York Post just reported that Democratic Assemblywoman Naomi Rivera “used a taxpayer-funded nonprofit as her personal piggy bank, installed her unqualified lover as the group’s leader – and then helped him get a fat raise so he could take her on nice dates.”

Rivera joins Carl Kruger, Pedro Espada, Vito Lopez and too many others in the overcrowded Democrats’ Hall of Shame.

Where is Tom DiNapoli’s outrage over Democrats’ corruption in Albany?

Where is his oversight?

New York is in crisis: when adding the total of outstanding official debt, pension and other post-employment benefits liabilities and Unemployment Trust Fund loans, New York’s total debt is over $305 billion, worse than every state other than California.

Now more than ever, New Yorkers need a comptroller who will keep a credible watchful eye over our state’s budget and finances.

But Tom DiNapoli would rather pitch partisan attacks.
