I’m at a loss. Any ideas on why Bob Beckel, co-host of The Five, would explain away nudists by assuming they “were gang-banged” or “had sexual assault on them” as children?
Beckel usually let’s fly with some real winners when he starts shooting from the hip. It does get him into some embarrassing situations. For instance, this episode where he had the cast and crew in stitches trying to come up with the past tense for the word ‘tweet’. For those not willing to click on the link, the word rhymed with ‘swat’.
Anyway, here it is via Mediaite:
During a Fox News segment on the ongoing fight over whether nudists should be allowed to walk the streets of San Francisco, The Five co-host Bob Beckel gave a rather colorful explanation for why people become nudists in their adult life.
The remarks came after co-host Dana Perino asked the table: “What happened to these people as children that they don’t want to wear any clothes?”
Andrea Tantaros said the nudists are “desperate for attention.”
“Most of them were gang banged probably,” Beckel chimed in. The two-shot camera showed Perino wincing in shock.
“I don’t know,” he continued over his co-hosts’ laughter and disbelief. “They could have had sexual assault on them?”
The camera stayed on him, as his co-hosts remained silent, and an irritated Beckel seemingly pushed back against the producers talking to him from the control room…
Here’s the video…
Only they know for sure…
What exactly does she mean by wrong people?
From the PJ Tatler:
The first lady tried to enlist “Families for Obama” at an event with tickets starting at $500 a pop at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on Friday.
The pool reporter estimated that there were a couple dozen kids in the audience of about 350, and Michelle Obama spent much of her speech talking to them.
“I mean, I can’t tell you in the last election how many grandparents I ran into who said, I wasn’t going to vote for Barack Obama until my grandson talked to me, until my great-grandson talked to me, and talked about the future he wanted for this country,” she said.
“You can get out there with your parents. You guys can knock on doors. I had one young lady who brought me a petition — she’s already working. You can convince wrong people. Sometimes we don’t listen to ourselves, but we will listen to our children.”
If your five-year-old needs to convince you of some sort of previously unseen wisdom in President Obama’s policies, then you have to ask yourself two questions: Just how brilliant can a man be who only appeals to underdeveloped minds? And how bright can I be if I have to rely on a child to guide my decision making when voting for the future of America?
Via Breitbart News:
This is a hallmark of leftist campaigning – the notion that children possess some sort of inherent wisdom to which their elders must heed. It’s insulting and ridiculous, but it’s also the same sort of electioneering that got Obama elected the first time. But during the 2008 election cycle, President Obama hadn’t yet sold out future generations to finance his world-remaking vision. The good news for the Chicago Obamas is that many of these children’s grandparents and great-grandparents may be voting Obama – whether or not they’re alive to do so.
Isn’t it funny how two groups – children and Democrats – that both believe in fantasies and unrealistic utopias, that both believe in the land of unicorns and lollipops, would both be on a mission to get out the vote for President Obama?
Does this mean we’ll see Tim Lincecum at quarterback?
This guy misspeaks like Rosie O’Donnell eats – messy and often.
Vice President Joe Biden had his “oops” moment Wednesday speaking in a 49er-crazed San Francisco when he told a crowd at a city political fundraiser that “the Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl.”
Biden spoke at a closed event in the city’s financial District at the Bently Reserve when he made the gaffe, according to a White House pool report released today.
The comment by Biden drew immediate “good-natured” boos from the crowd, according to the report by Josh Richman of the Oakland Tribune, who was the only local print reporter allowed to cover the event.
After suggesting that the Giants were heading to the Super Bowl, Biden quickly recognized the gaffe and and explained he was accustomed to thinking in terms of the San Francisco Giants and their baseball wins. His next reference was to the “49ers on their way” to the Big Game.
Rick Perry says this, it’s national news.
But hey, that’s just Joe being Joe…
