Child Killed in Iconic Propaganda Photo Was Killed by Hamas, Not Israel

November 19, 2012 at 8:06 am (Gaza, Hamas, Hisham Kandil, Ismail Haniyeh, Israel, Mohammed Sadallah, Palestine, Terrorist)

The image is heartbreaking – At a hospital in Gaza, Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Kandil kisses the forehead of a lifeless Palestinian child, while Hamas Prime Minsister Ismail Haniyeh cradles the boy in his arms.

The image made its way around the world, presenting a PR gift for Hamas, and a serious one for Israel.  The country that is doing nothing more than defending itself from terrorist attacks, was now being presented as the aggressor, and one that was launching attacks that were killing innocent children.

The problem is, the events surrounding the image were never real.

Via Honest Reporting:

While the boy was allegedly killed by an IDF airstrike, it occurred during the time that a ceasefire was in effect for the visit of the Egyptian PM. A ceasefire that Hamas broke, firing more rockets while even Israel refrained from launching airstrikes.
The truth has now emerged. Credit to some journalists for admitting, for once, that Israel was not the responsible party. The Sunday Telegraph reports (emphasis added):
But there were signs on Saturday that not all the Palestinian casualties have been the result of Israeli air strikes. The highly publicised death of four-year-old Mohammed Sadallah appeared to have been the result of a misfiring home-made rocket, not a bomb dropped by Israel.
The child’s death on Friday figured prominently in media coverage after Hisham Kandil, the Egyptian prime minister, was filmed lifting his dead body out of an ambulance. “The boy, the martyr, whose blood is still on my hands and clothes, is something that we cannot keep silent about,” he said, before promising to defend the Palestinian people.
But experts from the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights who visited the site on Saturday said they believed that the explosion was caused by a Palestinian rocket.

Turns out Hamas is not content with using children as human shields, they are also willing to prop up their dead bodies in an attempt to get world opinion on their side.  And as usual, the media is all too compliant in their efforts to denigrate Israel’s actions – a country simply trying to defend itself from terror.

Classified Cable Shows State Department Was Warned That Benghazi Consulate Could Not Withstand Coordinated Attack

November 1, 2012 at 9:21 am (Al Qaeda, Benghazi, Cable, Christopher Stevens, Classified, Hillary Clinton, Secret, State Department, Terrorist, White House)

No wonder Fox News crushes in ratings.  They actually do the job of journalists.

A new secret cable has been revealed that shows Hillary Clinton’s State Department was warned less than a month in advance of the Benghazi terror attack, that security personnel at the consulate had deep concerns that they could not withstand a coordinated enemy attack.

Notice that they did not say that they couldn’t withstand a spontaneous protest over a video.  But rather, they could not withstand a coordinated terror attack.  Something in which four Americans fell victim to less than a month later.

Via Fox News:

The U.S. Mission in Benghazi convened an “emergency meeting” less than a month before the assault that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, because Al Qaeda had training camps in Benghazi and the consulate could not defend against a “coordinated attack,” according to a classified cable reviewed by Fox News.

Summarizing an Aug. 15 emergency meeting convened by the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Aug. 16 cable marked “SECRET” said that the State Department’s senior security officer, also known as the RSO, did not believe the consulate could be protected.

“RSO (Regional Security Officer) expressed concerns with the ability to defend Post in the event of a coordinated attack due to limited manpower, security measures, weapons capabilities, host nation support, and the overall size of the compound,” the cable said.

According to a review of the cable addressed to the Office of the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Emergency Action Committee was also briefed “on the location of approximately ten Islamist militias and AQ training camps within Benghazi … these groups ran the spectrum from Islamist militias, such as the QRF Brigade and Ansar al-Sharia, to ‘Takfirist thugs.’” Each U.S. mission has a so-called Emergency Action Committee that is responsible for security measures and emergency planning.

The details in the cable seemed to foreshadow the deadly Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. compound, which was a coordinated, commando-style assault using direct and indirect fire. Al Qaeda in North Africa and Ansar al-Sharia, both mentioned in the cable, have since been implicated in the consulate attack.

The report then summarizes the implication in having this secret cable perfectly:

“It was a direct warning to the State Department that the Benghazi consulate was vulnerable to attack, that it could not be defended and that the presence of anti-U.S. militias and Al Qaeda was well-known to the U.S. intelligence community.”

Biggest cover up in White House history?

McCain: "C’mon Honey, Bring Your Mortars, We’re Going To A Spontaneous Demonstration"

September 27, 2012 at 11:30 am (John McCain, Libya, Senator McCain, Terrorist)

Every once in a while you have to hand it to Senator McCain, he can deliver some good comments.  Watch as he blasts the Obama administration for their response to the terrorist attacks in Libya.

“C’mon Honey, Bring Your Mortars, We’re Going To A Spontaneous Demonstration”

He’s right, it was obvious.  To everybody but the President and his administration.

In the meantime, here is what is being described as the definitive timeline in the administration’s cover up story, involving the attacks on September 11th.

Bombshell: Administration Knew Attacks That Killed Ambassador Stevens Were the Work of Terrorists Within 24 Hours

September 26, 2012 at 12:00 pm (Al Qaeda, Ambassador, Benghazi, Christopher Stevens, Libya, Obama Administration, Radical Islam, Susan Rice, Terrorist, White House)

Even yesterday, the President himself was lying to the world in front of the United Nations, refusing to call the attacks in Libya ‘terrorist’ in nature, and instead spending several minutes talking about a video that nobody in their right mind believes caused the violence.

The Daily Beast (via Hot Air) has dropped the curtain on this charade (emphasis mine):

Five days after the attack on the Benghazi consulate that left four Americans dead, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, the Obama administration sent UN Ambassador Susan Rice onto five Sunday talk shows to insist that the sacking of the consulate was the result of a protest over a YouTube video that “spun out of control.”  The government of Libya was already scoffing at that story, and by the end of the next week the White House began reluctantly admitting that terrorists had attacked the diplomatic mission.  Today, however, Eli Lake reports for the Daily Beast that the Obama administration knew within 24 hours that the attack had not been a spontaneous event, but a well-planned terrorist attack:
Within 24 hours of the 9-11 anniversary attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, U.S. intelligence agencies had strong indications al Qaeda–affiliated operatives were behind the attack, and had even pinpointed the location of one of those attackers. Three separate U.S. intelligence officials who spoke to The Daily Beast said the early information was enough to show that the attack was planned and the work of al Qaeda affiliates operating in Eastern Libya. …
The intelligence officials who spoke to The Daily Beast did so anonymously because they weren’t authorized to speak to the press. They said U.S. intelligence agencies developed leads on four of the participants of the attacks within 24 hours of the fire fight that took place mainly at an annex near the Benghazi consulate. For one of those individuals, the U.S. agencies were able to find his location after his use of social media. “We had two kinds of intelligence on one guy,” this official said. “We believe we had enough to target him.”
Another U.S. intelligence official said, “There was very good information on this in the first 24 hours. These guys have a return address. There are camps of people and a wide variety of things we could do.”
A spokesman for the National Security Council declined to comment for the story. But another U.S. intelligence official said, “I can’t get into specific numbers but soon after the attack we had a pretty good bead on some individuals involved in the attack.”
In other words, either Susan Rice lied to the press, or was lied to by the Obama administration and sent out to the press deliberately.  That leaves the national media in a quandry.  Clearly, with only a couple of exceptions, the media hasn’t wanted to address the implications of a successful terrorist attack on an American diplomatic installation … at least not during the Barack Obama presidency.  Now it’s becoming very clear that the administration didn’t just tell them to “f*** off,” the White House actively lied about the attack in order to deflect further questions from the media.

Please go read the rest folks…

This is huge, huge news, and is a clear demonstration that the Obama administration will jump first to protect the terrorists and radical Islam, well before they will act to protect the lives of innocent Americans.

Shocking Report: Obama Canceled Mission to Kill Osama Bin Laden Three Times

July 29, 2012 at 9:29 pm (9/11, Al Qaeda, Cancelled Mission, Daily Caller, Indecision, Joe Biden, Navy SEAL, Osama Bin laden, Pakistan, President Obama, Robert Gates, Terrorist, Valerie Jarrett)

It was just over a year ago that Defense Secretary Robert Gates was hailing the President’s decision to raid the Osama bin Laden compound as a “gutsy call” and “one of the most courageous” he’s seen a president make.

Question:  Is it still considered a ‘gutsy call’ if you avoided making the decision three times prior to finally pulling it off?

A campaign ad from team Obama previously questioned whether or not Mitt Romney would have the courage to make such a decision, but now it appears the President himself couldn’t pull the trigger on raiding the bin Laden compound on multiple occasions.

In a new book due to be released in August titled, Leading from Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors Who Decide for Him, author Richard Miniter reveals that President Obama may have called off the mission kill Osama bin Laden on three separate occasions.

Part of the book description on Amazon reads:

Obama delayed and canceled the mission to kill Osama bin Laden three times and then committed an intelligence blunder that allowed dozens of high-level members of al Qaeda to escape.

A new report from the Daily Caller cites a portion of the chapter in Leading From Behind which deals with the topic.

At the urging of Valerie Jarrett, President Barack Obama canceled the operation to kill Osama bin Laden on three separate occasions before finally approving the May 2, 2011 Navy SEAL mission, according to an explosive new book scheduled for release August 21. The Daily Caller has seen a portion of the chapter in which the stunning revelation appears…

… Richard Miniter writes that Obama cancelled the “kill” mission in January 2011, again in February, and a third time in March. Obama’s close adviser Valerie Jarrett persuaded him to hold off each time, according to the book.

Miniter, a two-time New York Times best-selling author, cites an unnamed source with Joint Special Operations Command who had direct knowledge of the operation and its planning. Obama administration officials also said after the raid that the president had delayed giving the order to kill the arch-terrorist the day before the operation was carried out, in what turned out to be his fourth moment of indecision.

Perhaps Obama doesn’t, as Joe Biden once claimed, possess “a backbone like a ramrod” after all.

The Terrorists Win: Judge Agrees to Postpone 9/11 Plotters Trial Until After Ramadan

July 16, 2012 at 4:28 pm (9/11, Guantanamo Bay, James Connell, James Pohl, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Military Trial, September 11th, Terrorism, Terrorist, Terrorists Win, World Trade Center)

Last week, we reported on the outrageous demand being made by September 11th mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammad, and four other defendants involved in the terror plot, requesting that their August hearing in Guantanamo be postponed because it falls toward the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The request led Pamela Geller to write:

Let me get this straight. We are supposed to postpone the 911 tribunals out of respect and deference to the very ideology that inspired the mass murderous Islamic attacks of 9/11. Someone pinch me. This is a nightmare.

Ramadan is exactly when these jihadist savages should be put on trial and sentenced to death.

I also added:

I’ll go one step further.  Their deaths should be televised live on Pay-Per-View, with the proceeds going to the victims families … it should be televised on the first day of Ramadan, and rerun every day until the end of Ramadan.

As infuriating as it was to hear these terror masterminds play the military court system by making such a demand, here is an even more infuriating update – the judge has granted their request.

A U.S. military judge agreed Monday to postpone the next court hearings at the Guantanamo Bay prison for five men charged in the Sept. 11 attacks to avoid a conflict with the Muslim holy period of Ramadan.

The judge issued a short order postponing the next pretrial hearings at the U.S. base in Cuba until Aug. 22-26 at the request of all five defendants, said James Connell, a lawyer for one of the accused.

The hearings had been scheduled to run from Aug. 8-12, which fall during the last 10 days of Ramadan, a period in which devout Muslims fast during the day and pray during the night. That would make it difficult for the accused to participate in their defense, said Connell, a lawyer for Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali.

“It’s very difficult to pay attention to sometimes intricate legal proceedings when you haven’t had any sleep and you haven’t had any food,” Connell said.

The judge, Army Col. James Pohl, denied a defense request not to hold any future hearings in the case on Fridays, a day on which many Muslims do not work and his order does not mention what will happen if future hearings fall during the month of Ramadan. The judge did not explain his decisions in the brief ruling.

Eleven years after these men plotted to kill thousands of innocent Americans, they have not been convicted of their crime and in fact, continue to manipulate the system.

The terrorists have truly won.

Gitmo Detainees ‘Tortured’ With Sesame Street Songs

June 1, 2012 at 7:50 am (Al Jazeera, Al Qaeda, Gitmo, Guantanamo Bay, Sesame Street, Terrorist, Torture)

Oh, the humanity!  Who knew that having to watch Barney & Friends every hour on the hour with your child consisted of … gasp … torture?!

Yahoo reports:

A new documentary alleges that detainees at Guantanamo Bay were “tortured” by being forced to listen to songs from Sesame Street for days on end.

The Al Jazeera film, “Songs of War,” features Christopher Cerf, who has worked as a composer on Sesame Street for more than four decades.

“My first reaction was this just can’t possibly be true,” the Grammy and Emmy award-winning composer told Al Jazeera.

“Of course, I didn’t really like the idea that I was helping break down prisoners, but it was much worse when I heard later that they were actually using the music in Guantanamo to actually do deep, long-term interrogations and obviously to inflict enough pain on prisoners so they would talk.”

In a report featuring the composer of the Sesame Street songs, one detainee actually says the following:

“The music was so loud,” says Moazzam Begg, a former detainee at Guantanamo Bay and Bagram. “And it was probably some of the worst torture that they faced.”

I wonder if all those people detained in the past by Al-Qaeda would have preferred torture by Sesame Street, as opposed to having their head sawed off of their body.

If given the choice, I’m sure Nick Berg would have been okay with it.

Today We Stand Up Against Serial Domestic Terrorists, Today We Stand Beside Champions of Free Speech

May 25, 2012 at 6:43 am (Aaron Walker, Aaron Worthing, Brett Kimberlin, Lee Stranahan, Liberty Chick, Patterico, Robert Stacy McCain, Speedway Bomber, Terrorist)

Two days ago, I had no idea who Brett Kimberlin was.  I wish I still didn’t.

But today, everyone who reads a conservative blog is likely to learn his name – for Kimberlin is a serial domestic terrorist.

His terrorism ranges from the literal …

Kimberlin is known as the Speedway Bomber, who was convicted in 1981 of a series of bombings that caused extensive property damage, and severely mutilated a man who happened upon one of his explosive devices, eventually leading to the man’s suicide.  Some law enforcement officials believed the bombings were actually an attempt to distract from the murder of an elderly woman in Indianapolis, a crime in which Kimberlin was a suspect.

To the legal …

Kimberlin has recently terrorized several bloggers through litigation, intimidation, and implied threats.

He attempted to frame Aaron Walker (a.k.a Aaron Worthing) of a crime,  and cost him and his wife their jobs.

He has harassed Patterico to the point that he has crafted a rough draft explaining what has happened and distributed it to various people in the event that “an unfortunate accident were to befall” him.

He has targeted Liberty Chick.

And more recently, Kimberlin has terrorized the popular blogger known as The Other McCain (Robert Stacy McCain).  Apparently, reporting on the Speedway Bomber’s past has once again resulted in unrelenting harassment by Kimberlin, this time forcing McCain to move his family out of state for their own safety.

But there is so much more to know about this domestic terrorist.  You can start with this video from Lee Stranahan:

Stranahan is also the mastermind behind “Everybody Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day”, the driving force behind this and many other reports you will read today.

As a blogger, it is my job to get the story out to our readers.  As a reader, it is up to you to make up your own mind about this man, using your own research techniques, and the links readily available above.

But, it is OUR responsibility to hold the mainstream media accountable for reporting this story.  It is OUR responsibility to report this man to the proper authorities.  It is OUR responsibility to hold the far-left organizations that actually fund this terrorist, accountable.  It is OUR responsibility to fight for our right to speech, and the free speech of others, even in the face of harassment and threats.

The obvious question I’ve received from several people is, “If you know this guy’s past and what he’s capable of, why would you write about him?”

The answer is simple.  Their are others out there right now that are hurting because of this man.  They are no longer in a position to counter punch this bully.  In the face of Kimberlin’s threats, we will stare him down together and defeat his criminal tactics.

About a year ago, I had something similar to the Kimberlin case come up.  I had been confused with another blogger on the internet who was much more vociferous in his opposition to radical Islam.

At one point, I came across a blog dedicated specifically to me.  When scanning through, I saw pictures of myself posted, accompanied by sarcastic comments about how I mock the prophet Mohammed.  I laughed it off.

Then I saw a map directing people to my house.  My concern grew.

Further down the page, I saw a picture of my wife and kids.  My heart dropped into my stomach.

With all of the people and organizations I contacted regarding the incident – ranging from the local police, to the state police, to the FBI, and even Google (host of the site) – I received nothing that could be deemed newsworthy, helpful, or reassuring.

When I contacted some bloggers that I knew, a plan was immediately developed.  Several had experienced similar situations so they offered reassuring words.  Some knew legal matters, and helped me find a way to properly report the incident.  And some knew of internet law, helping me get the blog removed and my peace of mind restored.

Some of those people are listed above, new victims of a case of cyber-bullying, harassment, and legal terrorism.

So that, my friends, is why we will always report the truth on this blog.  We will always voice our opinion no matter the situation.

I stand with Aaron Worthing.

I stand with Patterico.

I stand with Liberty Chick.

I stand with Robert Stacy McCain.

And I stand with others who may have fallen victim to the serial terrorist, Brett Kimberlin.

Will you?

Update:  Patterico’s story has been posted today – it is chilling.

Update 2:  In 1988, Kimberlin made news with accusations that he had sold marijuana to Vice President Dan Quayle in the ’70s.  U.S. Senator Carl Levin (D-Michigan) supported Brett Kimberlin and accused the Bureau of Prisons of trying to silence him by placing him in solitary confinement.  While the vocal support of a domestic terrorist by Levin looks bad in hindsight, I’d say the AP report itself is the real scandal here.  The report (seen below) ran in the Argus-Press on October 4th, 1992.  It makes no mention of Kimberlin as the Speedway Bomber, and in fact only lists him as “a convicted marijuana smuggler”.

It may be difficult to read, so please click on the link here….

US Releasing Terrorists While American POW Remains in Taliban Hands

May 8, 2012 at 9:49 am (Afghanistan, Americam, Bowe Bergdhal, Exchange, Hero, Peace, POW, President Obama, Taliban, Terrorist)

Yesterday, we covered a report by the Washington Post indicating that the United States is engaged in an absurd peace negotiation tactic with the Taliban – releasing terrorists captured on the battlefield in the hopes that they’ll keep a promise to never commit acts of violence again.

The following is an excerpt:

The US has been secretly releasing captured Taliban fighters from a detention center in Afghanistan in a bid to strengthen its hand in peace talks with the insurgent group, the Washington Post reported Monday.

The “strategic release” program of high-level detainees is designed to give the US a bargaining chip in some areas of Afghanistan where international forces struggle to exercise control, the report said.

Under the risky program, the hardened fighters must promise to give up violence and are threatened with further punishment, but there is nothing to stop them resuming attacks against Afghan and American troops.

Bethany Mandel over at Commentary Magazine has a heartbreaking report on the story of Sergeant Bowe Bergdhal, the only American prisoner of war currently in Taliban hands.

Mandel properly questions just what the hell our government is thinking, releasing Taliban operatives without so much as a thought about exchanging for Bergdhal.

Mandel:

Besides a general easing of tension which this policy is trying to foster, there is one very real concession that the president has seemed to ignore in his concessions to the devil (they’re only called deals if you get something in return, which we have not).

On June 30, 2009, almost three years ago, Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl of Idaho was kidnapped by the Taliban-affiliated Haqqani network. He is the only prisoner of war currently held by the Taliban and recent video releases seem to indicate that he is being kept alive for ransom by the group. A month after his capture the president issued a statement, explaining that he was “heartbroken” over Sgt. Bergdahl’s situation and vowed to bring him home. In three years, this seems to be the only public statement made by the President about Bergdahl.

Please read the rest of her report which includes a story about Bergdhal’s courageous attempt to escape from his captors, and a fury-inducing story about a US attempt to exchange Taliban prisoners for British POW’s.

Mandel closes with this thought:

In 2008 it was Barack Obama’s policy not to engage with terrorists under any circumstances. In 2009, his administration was comfortable exchanging American prisoners for British hostages. In 2012, it has become clear it was the long-standing policy of the administration to release American-held terrorist prisoners while asking for nothing in exchange, not even an American POW.

Doug Ross has a headline which describes this policy perfectly – Un-Freaking-Believable!

He adds:

An American POW has has been held by a Taliban-affiliated terror group for almost three years. And he is never mentioned while Barack Obama releases high-level Taliban detainees from Gitmo in exchange for… their promises not to commit more acts of terrorism.

Keep Sergeant Bergdahl in your prayers.

And contact the House Foreign Affairs Committee at (202) 225-5021 to express your outrage.

Please dial that number or call your representative.  Tell them that if the government is willing to release terrorists, they damn sure better get an American hero in return.

US Secretly Releasing Taliban Fighters Because They Promise to Play Nice

May 7, 2012 at 1:23 pm (Afghanistan, Peace, Peace Talks, Promise, Taliban, Terrorist)

How … um … gutsy.

Isn’t it a fascinating glimpse into a liberal’s mindset when secretly detaining enemies of the United States is considered outlandish, but secretly releasing them is a non-story?

From Fox News:

The US has been secretly releasing captured Taliban fighters from a detention center in Afghanistan in a bid to strengthen its hand in peace talks with the insurgent group, the Washington Post reported Monday.

The “strategic release” program of high-level detainees is designed to give the US a bargaining chip in some areas of Afghanistan where international forces struggle to exercise control, the report said.

Under the risky program, the hardened fighters must promise to give up violence and are threatened with further punishment, but there is nothing to stop them resuming attacks against Afghan and American troops.

“Everyone agrees they are guilty of what they have done and should remain in detention. Everyone agrees that these are bad guys. But the benefits outweigh the risks,” a US official told the Post.

What could possibly go wrong with this strategy?

It is stunning ignorance to release terrorists based on a promise to not commit further acts of violence.
