Democrats in Voter Fraud Scandal Targeted Recent Stroke Victim Because He Would Have "A Hard Time Getting to the Polls"
Democrat and local school board member, Ed McDonough is on trial in upstate New York for his alleged role in a voter fraud scheme that has already seen numerous colleagues implicated, of which four have already pled guilty.
One of those colleagues, Dan Brown, brother and former campaign manager for Democrat City Councilman John Brown, received immunity from prosecution in exchange for his testimony. Monday’s testimony may have revealed new depths to which the Democrats were willing to stoop in order to win elections.
Mind you, we’ve already heard prior testimony that gives insight into just who the Democrats felt were the most vulnerable members of society, those making easy targets for their voter fraud scheme.
- They targeted immigrants who struggled with the English language and had little knowledge of the U.S. election process.
- They targeted college kids with little money, paying them for their voter registration cards.
- They targeted people living in low-income housing because there was a sense that poor people were “less likely to ask any questions”.
- They tricked mentally disabled individuals into signing over their absentee ballots.
Armed with a clipboard and walk sheet — showing the names, addresses, and other information about the “friendlies” — Brown headed to District 1 with Thomas Aldrich, a WFP operative.
Among those the pair solicited to fill out absentee ballot applications were Nadine Lagace and Terrance Conway, a couple living on Third Avenue. Brown knew they had not been intending to vote because Conway, due to a recent stroke, would have had a hard time getting to the polls.
After convincing Lagace and Conway to sign their absentee ballot applications, Brown set about filling in the excuse field for them, and without their knowledge.
Acting as a voting agent, Brown said he filled in the box indicating “illness” on the application.
Special Prosecutor Trey Smith then showed Lagace a copy of her ballot application which not only had the box for illness indicated, but also stated she would be in Vermont on the day of the primary. He asked her if she had, indeed, been in Vermont on the primary.
“I don’t know how to get to Vermont,” testified Lagace, nor, she said, did she and Conway have the ability to get there as he was undergoing chemotherapy treatments for lung cancer.
The act of having her vote stolen left Lagace scarred, claiming she’ll never vote again.
Remember, this was a targeted voter fraud scheme that one Democrat claimed was “commonplace” over multiple decades, “a normal political tactic”, and “an accepted way of winning elections”.
Stroke victim or cancer patients be damned.
That’s simply unprecedented voting wizardry right there – nothing to do with voter fraud.
It’s one thing for a Democratic presidential candidate to dominate a Democratic city like Philadelphia, but check out this head-spinning figure: In 59 voting divisions in the city, Mitt Romney received not one vote. Zero. Zilch.
These are the kind of numbers that send Republicans into paroxysms of voter-fraud angst, but such results may not be so startling after all.
“We have always had these dense urban corridors that are extremely Democratic,” said Jonathan Rodden, a political science professor at Stanford University. “It’s kind of an urban fact, and you are looking at the extreme end of it in Philadelphia.”
Still, was there not one contrarian voter in those 59 divisions, where unofficial vote tallies have President Obama outscoring Romney by a combined 19,605 to 0?
Weasel Zippers adds this graphic from Cleveland precincts:
Let the Fraud Begin: Colorado Voting Machines Stealing Votes, Absentee Ballot Issues Reported in Iowa
The last time there was a brutal get out the vote fight amongst Presidential candidates, Democrats resorted to trickery, pulling out all stops in an effort to get their candidate elected – as evidenced on page 54 of the 2004 Colorado Election Manual:
“If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a pre-emptive strike…“
And thus the pre-emptive strikes have already begun … in Colorado no less.
… it is troubling that we are hearing numerous reports of voting machines recording votes intended for Romney as votes for Obama.
Colorado’s KRDO NewsChannel 13 reports that the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office is investigating after more than a dozen Pueblo voters say voting machines switched their pick from Mitt Romney to Barack Obama.
One Romney voter, told KRDO that when she hit the touchscreen for Romney, a check mark appeared next to Obama’s name. She said she asked for help to fix the problem, but still feels unsure about her vote:
“I wonder where my vote really counted,” she said.
And there, in a nutshell, is why ensuring the integrity of the voting process is so vital. There is no worse feeling than being unsure if your vote really counted.
The problems don’t end there, as another key state, Iowa, is providing some disturbing reports.
From the Des Moines Register:
“Muscatine resident Craig White says a Democratic campaign worker somehow gave his 75-year-old mother the impression that it was OK for her to sign his name on an absentee ballot request form when he wasn’t home…”
“Elsewhere, reports of unauthorized absentee ballot paperwork have led to an investigation by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. Floyd County Attorney Normand Klemesrud, a Democrat, said the DCI is checking into cases in his county in which someone allegedly filled out the request paperwork for an absentee ballot without the voter’s consent or knowledge…”
“The DCI has approached paid Democratic Party staff to ask questions about allegations of unauthorized requests for absentee ballots in Floyd County, a party official confirmed. Norm Sterzenbach, the party’s executive director, said a DCI agent spoke briefly to three workers at the Organizing for America office in Charles City. The party’s attorneys then contacted the agent “and said if you need to talk to … any of our employees, have those conversations with our attorneys,” Sterzenbach said…”
ABC also added these comments:
“It is concerning to hear of cases of unauthorized absentee ballot paperwork being turned in by the Democrats in Iowa,” RNC Communications Director in Iowa Tom Szold wrote in a statement to ABC News. “Integrity of elections are critical and a full investigation of these irregularities should be conducted.”
The RNC has responded by submitting a letter to Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz. It reads:
Dear Secretary Schultz,
On behalf of the Republican National Committee, I am writing to express concern with what appears to be illegal activity involving Democratic and Obama campaign operatives engaged in absentee ballot canvassing. We understand that the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations is investigating this matter. We request the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office do all it can to further that investigation and to ensure that any illegal activity conducted by Democratic operatives does not taint the fairness of the 2012 general election.
According to reputable media reports, Democratic operatives allegedly encouraged elderly persons to fill out and falsely sign absentee ballot requests for other family members.
Additionally, the same reports suggest that Democratic operatives themselves may have even falsely filled out and submitted absentee ballot requests without the permission of the Iowa voters on whose behalf the requests were submitted. As the Des Moines Register reported, “the [Department of Criminal Investigations] has approached paid Democratic Party staff to ask questions about allegations of unauthorized requests for absentee ballots in Floyd County . . . .” DCI agents have also spoken “to three workers at the Organizing for America office in Charles City.” The Iowa Democratic Party has now asked DCI to have conversations only with Democratic Party attorneys.
Fair and open elections are vital to our democracy. And the alleged conduct of Democratic and Obama operatives, if true, is highly disconcerting. Please keep us informed of the steps you are taking to ensure this alleged illegal activity does not affect the integrity of the election.
The integrity of the election needs to be preserved – on both sides of the aisle.
VA Congressman’s Son Caught Facilitating Voter Fraud and Forgery; UPDATE: Congressman Moran’s Son Resigns
|Congressman Jim Moran|
It was just yesterday that Congressman Jim Moran of Virginia sent a letter to Eric Holder’s Department of Justice asking him to look into allegations of voter fraud. Turns out the Congressman may want to start investigating his own son.
Patrick Moran, who also serves as Jim Moran’s campaign Field Director, has been caught in yet another revealing investigation by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas. The younger Moran is caught in the following video clip offering advice to a reporter on how to vote 100 times in Virginia, and also offers explicit instruction on how to fabricate utility bills in order comply with Virginia’s new voter ID law.
It is the first time a sitting Congressman has been implicated in one of these stings.
From Project Veritas:
Project Veritas has released a new investigation that exposes Representative Jim Moran’s Field Director, Patrick Moran, conspiring to commit election fraud.
When approached by an undercover investigator for advice on how to steal the votes of more than 100 people, Moran advised falsifying documents to satisfy Virginia’s new voter ID law. He said, “Bank statement obviously would be tough, but they can fake a utility bill with ease.”
Moran went on to clarify that, “You’d have to forge it.”
Announcing the release, James O’Keefe said, “This is the most damning evidence to date of the scope of voter fraud in this country. Patrick Moran is not only the son of an 11-term Congressman, but is also the Field Director on his father’s re-election campaign.
“If anyone should be opposed to voter fraud it’s him. Yet he actively encouraged our investigator to forge documents and pose as a pollster to disenfranchise registered voters in Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland.”
After raising legal and practical concerns, Patrick Moran, son of Virginia Democrat James Moran, encouraged the reporter to create phony utility bills that would allow others to cast multiple votes in the November 6 election.
Supporters of stronger voter ID laws seized on the video as evidence of widespread corruption among liberal get-out-the-vote organizations.
“What he’s doing is soliciting fraudulent voter registrations and fraudulent ballots, and that’s a federal crime,” said Hans von Spakovsky, senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. “Even attempting to do that is federal crime — you don’t have to go through with it. Attempting it is a crime.”
Blogger Stacey on the Right concurs that their is some illegal activity here:
“I’m pretty sure that some laws are admitted to being broken here.”
She adds that, “the allegation that there simply isn’t voter fraud and hence no need whatsoever for laws pertaining to voter ID is so disproven”.
O’Keefe adds, “Unfortunately, what Patrick Moran doesn’t respect is the integrity of our elections. He would rather win by fraud than risk seeing the political positions of his father, Barack Obama and Tim Kaine rejected by the legitimate voters of Virginia.”
Indeed, the video is quite damning for the Moran campaign, and for Virginia Democrats in general.

Patrick Moran has resigned amid the controversy.
Patrick Moran, son of Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA), resigned from his father’s campaign on Wednesday after conservative activist James O’Keefe released a video that appears to show him offering advice to an undercover videographer who claimed to want to commit voter fraud.
“Effective immediately, I have resigned from the Moran for Congress campaign,” Patrick Moran said in a statement to TPM sent from his campaign email address.
Apparently, Ponce de Leon was looking in the wrong place. The fountain of youth is located in the state of North Carolina, and it’s remarkably politically biased.
According to a post originally from the Silence Dogood political blog report, there were at least 758 individuals over the age of 112 who had either risen from their respective graves, or otherwise, to vote once again for the Democrats in charge, who might apparently have also guaranteed them an ever-lasting vote for life and beyond.
In visiting the political tracking site, we later found the same story in evidence, except the number of centenarian voters had increased measurably to 832 voters over the age of 112. Of these voters, over 70% were slated as Democrats, with a diminutive 25% counted as Republicans. The rest were unaffiliated.
When peering a little more deeply at the numbers we find that an astounding 2,374 people between the ages of 94 and 100 have already voted in the NC election to date. While an even more astounding 832 votes came from those individuals aged 112. However, according to the Guinness book of world records, the oldest living person in the world, at present, lives in Japan and is 114 years old. It would seem obvious that, according to the NC vote registry, this old fellow might be nudged aside in the near future, especially considering the crop of spry 112 year-olds seemingly alive and well in the old North State.
But, but, voter fraud is a myth!
Nice Deb writes:
The only way the Empty Chair can win is through voter fraud and campaign finance fraud. What can be done when the only thing the regime’s corrupt DOJ is doing to police the vote is focusing on “conservative voter suppression.”
Remember when Eric Holder dismissed video evidence of how easy it was to perpetrate voter fraud by calling it ‘manufactured’?
A Maryland Democratic candidate quit her congressional race Monday after her own party told state officials that she had committed fraud by voting in both Maryland and Florida in recent elections.
Wendy Rosen, a small-business owner running against freshman Rep. Andy Harris (R) in the Eastern Shore-based 1st Congressional District, released a statement saying that “with great regret, and much sorrow” she was resigning from the contest.
“The Maryland Democratic Party has discovered that Ms. Rosen has been registered to vote in both Florida and Maryland since at least 2006; that she in fact voted in the 2006 general election both in Florida and Maryland; and that she voted in the presidential preference primaries held in both Florida and Maryland in 2008,” wrote Yvette Lewis, the state party chair. “This information is based on an examination of the voter files from both states. We believe that this is a clear violation of Maryland law and urge the appropriate office to conduct a full investigation.”
Bryan Preston of PJ Media writes:
Democrats love to claim that voter fraud does not exist. That voter ID is not necessary. That voter ID is, in fact, voter suppression.
But suddenly Democrats have to admit that voter fraud exists. That’s really going to dent the narrative.
Their narrative has been more than dented, it’s non-existent. Voter fraud is real, it is prevalent, and it is a consistent Democrat tactic in elections.
Liberals Looking For Donations to "Overcome Pennsylvania’s Voter ID Law", Meanwhile Photo ID’s Can be Obtained For Free
An e-mail from Daily Kos Campaign Manager, Chris Bowers announces ‘big news’ regarding voter ID laws in Pennsylvania. Bowers explains:
A huge coalition of 100+ labor and civil rights groups has come together to do the door knocking, phone banking and voter education necessary to make sure everyone in this must-win swing state can still cast a ballot.
At Daily Kos, we’re helping out by running online ads in Pennsylvania to sign up more than 1,000 volunteers so that this coalition has the people power it needs. Please, click here to contribute $3 to Daily Kos so that we can sign up the thousands of volunteers needed to overcome Pennsylvania’s voter ID law.
First off, if you live in Pennsylvania, please put your money back in your pocket. Instead of attempting to ‘overcome’ a law, put forth the effort to actually follow said law.
Second, why not sign up an army of volunteers to assist the citizens of Pennsylvania in obtaining their photo ID, as opposed to fighting a law that requires it?
Third, instead of donating $3 to the Daily Kos to fight an alleged effort at voter suppression, I’d like to offer better advice on how to fight that suppression … and it’s free.
Here it is – head down to your local DMV in Pennsylvania and obtain your very own photo ID for voting purposes. It is of no cost to you, and the turnaround time for obtaining such ID is estimated at 10 days. This gives one plenty of time to receive their ID to use legally in the November elections.
Voila! No more suppression. (If you still fill the need to donate, please consider a contribution to the Mental Recession as a show of appreciation for such sound advice).
The entire process is outlined on the PennDOT DMV website, which concludes with the following statement:
“… to receive your free photo ID for voting purposes. This verification process will take about ten days and does not require the payment of a fee.”
Claiming that a law requiring a person to prove the legality of their vote is voter suppression, is akin to calling laws against bank robbery a form of financial suppression.
The folks over at the Daily Kos and other liberals in general have long complained that the concept of a voter ID law would disenfranchise the poor. For example, this entry cites statements from an advocacy group that claim the Pennsylvania voter ID law hearkens back to the ‘Jim Crow’ era, and would ‘keep the working poor … away from the polls’.
What better way to come to the rescue of the working poor than by asking them for money, as opposed to showing voters how to comply with the law for free?
Ed McDonough, the Democrat Elections Commissioner in Rensselaer County embroiled in a voter fraud scheme which has seen others of his party either serve time or accept plea deals for their actions, will go back on trial in November, with jury selection beginning on the 13th of that month.
From the Times Union:
In November, Rensselaer County Democratic Elections Commissioner Edward McDonough will stand trial for the second time this year on charges he allegedly forged absentee ballots to help Democrats secure the 2009 Working Families Party primary…
… McDonough, who faces 38 felony counts of second-degree forgery and 36 felony counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, was first tried alongside former City Councilman Michael LoPorto earlier this year. That highly publicized trial took nine weeks, beginning Jan. 17 and ending in a mistrial with a hung jury March 13.
This trial, and the ensuing ones should provide a plethora of exciting details. The first combined trial with LoPorto (who has since been acquitted) and McDonough saw accusations of voters being paid for their signatures, accusations of immigrants being targeted, stories of mentally disabled men being used for their ballots, and Democrat councilmen joking about their past felony convictions.
Such is the state of politics in upstate New York.
McDonough’s trial will then likely be followed by the trials of two other Democrats allegedly involved in the scheme.
Former City Council President Clement Campana awaits trial on charges of first-degree falsifying business records and four counts of illegal voting, all felonies, and a count of conspiracy to promote or prevent election, a misdemeanor.
City Councilman Gary Galuski still faces four felony counts of first-degree falsifying business records.
Our original prediction was that the first trial for LoPorto would end up in his acquittal, based on varying witness accounts and a convenient changing of testimony by Working Families Party operative Sara Couch. McDonough does not have such luxuries, and may well face some level of conviction.
McDonough also currently serves on the school board for the Lansingburgh School District.
What does it say about your party when doing things illegally (voting, citizenship) is perceived to be the only way to win elections?
Pennsylvania’s voter identification law could sink President Obama’s reelection campaign, according to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).
“Pennsylvania’s new ‘voter I.D.’ law could literally decide the fate of President Obama’s re-election,” wrote DCCC field director Brynne Craig. “It’s not the first time that Republicans have tried to suppress the vote — but in an election this close, it could be the tipping point that delivers the Presidency to Mitt Romney.”
Allow me to serve as proofreader – the phrase ‘suppress the vote’ should have read ‘suppress the illegal vote’. That one is free.
Anyway, the Dems can’t even use their usual talking point in Pennsylvania – that poor minority groups would be unable to attain the necessary ID – because it is free and can be obtained months ahead of the election.
The Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is creating a new voter ID card that is free for people without other forms of ID.
“As we work to ensure that Pennsylvanians have the identification they need to vote this fall, this new card will provide another photo ID option for voters,” Commonwealth Secretary Carol Aichele said earlier this week. “Everyone who needs ID to vote will be able to get it months before the election.”
The only way to interpret the statement that voter ID law could sink the President’s re-election bid, is that the Democrat party feels they need as many illegal votes as possible to have a chance.
This isn’t the first time Democrats have admitted to this. In January, the Congressional Black Caucus had this to say:
The Congressional Black Caucus on Monday night took to the House floor to charge that voter ID laws popping up around the country are aimed at dissuading minority voters from voting, and making it harder for President Obama to win re-election.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) added that supporters of these laws have made the “misrepresentation” that there was fraud in the 2008 election, “maybe because we elected the first African American president.”
Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) also drew a connection to these laws and Obama’s election, and said he’s not sure if the laws are being advanced due to “the color of the President” or because Obama “received record-breaking participation by the very same people that they’re making it difficult to vote.”
It takes tunnel vision for a person to believe that voter ID laws are racist or an act of minority suppression.
It takes a candid admission – albeit, inadvertently – to believe that proving your identity can only harm supporters of President Obama.
In short form – doing things legally is a detriment to the left.
