Democrats Drop God From Their Official Party Platform

September 4, 2012 at 4:23 pm (Abortion, Children, Democrats, DNC, God, War on Children, War on Religion, War on Women, Women)

The shocking part here is that they ever actually had God in the platform to begin with.

CBN reports:

Guess what? God’s name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform.

This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform:

“We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”

Now the words “God-given” have been removed. The paragraph has been restructured to say this:

“We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”

I suppose it would be difficult to include God in a platform that also “opposes any effort” to stop abortion.

LifeNews reports:

Democrats at the 2012 Democratic National Convention are set to approve a platform today that is unambiguously pro-abortion and opposes any effort whatsoever to stop any abortions. The platform also calls on forcing Americans to pay for abortions at taxpayer expense.

The platform Democrats will approve rejects efforts to stop forcing taxpayers to fund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business and supports the Obama HHS mandate that forces religious groups to pay for and refer women for abortion-causing drugs under Obamacare.

Here is an excerpt of the exact wording on their abortion stance:

The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right.

And so it is… Democrats are waging a War on God, Catholics, women, and children.

Obama Continually Using His Daughters to Promote Abortion

July 25, 2012 at 11:00 am (Abortion, Birth Control, Choice, Daughters, Malia Obama, President Obama, Pro Abortion, Pro Life, Sasha Obama, War on Children)

“I think peoples families are off limits and people’s children are especially off limits.”

– Barack Obama, September 2008

Not so when it comes to arguing your pro-abortion stance.  After all, it was just days prior to the above statement that Obama said this:

“… I’ve got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.”

The President continues to view childbirth as a punishment, using his daughters and possible future grandchildren as supporting arguments in the pro-abortion fight, and in reasoning for government funding of Planned Parenthood clinics.

Politico reports:

President Barack Obama got personal with his stump speech Tuesday.

“Mr. Romney wants to get rid of funding for Planned Parenthood. I think that’s a bad idea,” Obama said to about 950 donors at the Oregon Convention Center as he highlighted differences with Mitt Romney. “I’ve got two daughters. I want them to control their own health care choices.”

Politico is acting as if this is a new tactic, but the President has been using his own daughters in the War on Children consistently, citing children as economic hindrances to a better life (h/t LifeNews).

At a campaign event on May 23rd in California:

We certainly don’t need another political fight about ending a woman’s right to choose, or get rid of Planned Parenthood, or taking away affordable birth control.  (Applause.)  I want women to control their own health choices, just like I want my daughters to have the same opportunities as your sons.  We’re not turning back the clock.  We won’t do that.  (Applause.)

Another campaign event on the 23rd in Colorado:

We certainly don’t need another political fight about ending a woman’s right to choose, or get rid of Planned Parenthood, or taking away affordable birth control.  (Applause.)  I want women to control their own health choices, just like I want my daughters to have the same opportunities as your sons.  We’re not turning back the clock.  We won’t do that.  (Applause.)

At a campaign event on May 24th in Iowa:

We don’t need another political fight about ending a woman’s right to choose, or getting rid of Planned Parenthood — (applause) — or taking away affordable birth control.  We don’t need that.  (Applause.)  I want women to control their own health choices, just like I want my daughters to have the same economic opportunities as my sons.  We’re not turning back the clock.  (Applause.)  We’re not going back there.

Maryland, June 12th, 2012:

We don’t need another political fight about ending a woman’s right to choose, or getting rid of Planned Parenthood — (applause) — taking away access to affordable birth control.  I want women to control their own health choices, just like I want my daughters to have the same opportunities as your sons.  (Applause.)

And the list continues…

Using your daughters as political props when you’ve declared them off limits is tasteless, using them to promote the killing of unwanted children is reprehensible.

Video – Planned Parenthood Encourages Woman to Abort Baby Because It’s a Girl

May 29, 2012 at 11:19 am (Abortion, Live Action, Medicaid, Planned Parenthood, Pro Life, Pro-Choice, Sex Selection, War on Children, War on Women)

Now where have we heard of this before?  Oh yes, communist China.

A recently released video from a group called Live Action shows a Planned Parenthood staffer encouraging a pregnant woman to have an abortion if it is determined that the baby she is carrying is a girl.  The woman’s preference is for a baby boy.

The practice is known as a sex-selection abortion, and denegrates the miracle of childbirth down to the level of a drive-thru order.

Further, the employee also encourages the woman to get on Medicaid, so she can have the ultrasound that will provide the knowledge necessary to determine whether to continue the pregnancy (if it’s a boy) or terminate the baby (if it’s a girl).

The Daily Caller reports:

Live Action says Planned Parenthood and other U.S. abortion providers are willing to assist in the termination of baby girls for pregnant women who choose abortion because they want to have baby boys. And the pro-life abortion watchdog says its video series and a new website will expose it all…

The first in what Live Action says is a series of videotaped incidents exposing American abortion facilities’ willingness to assist in sex-selection abortions took place at a South Austin, Texas Planned Parenthood clinic. In the footage, a Planned Parenthood counselor appears to readily assist and advise a Live Action actor who said she was trying to obtain an abortion if her baby is female.

“In this video, what is astounding is that Rebecca, the Planned Parenthood counselor, starts arranging with the actor about how to get a late-term abortion,” Rose said. “To wait until her pregnancy is so developed that — and using Medicaid for this, using the state to pay for the ultrasound to determine the gender, and then to do a late term abortion if it was a little girl.”

Remember when ultrasounds were used to figure out if the nursery needed blue or pink paint? Now it is being used to abort later term babies and try again until you have your preferred choice.

So who is conducting the real War on Women here – conservatives or pro-abortion liberals?

Kirsten Gillibrand: What Better Way to Celebrate Mother’s Day Than to Help Make Sure Others Don’t Become One?

May 12, 2012 at 10:05 am (Abortion, Democrat, EMILY's List, Homophobic, Kirsten Gillibrand, Life, New York, Nikki Tinker, Pro Life, Pro-Choice, Racist, War on Children)

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) has been featured on a Mother’s Day-themed fundraising e-mail for EMILY’s list, a political action group that supports abortion.

The letter reads in part (emphasis mine):

This Mother’s Day, I can’t think of a better way to honor all the mothers in the country — past and present — than with a contribution to EMILY’s List.  They’re the ones working tirelessly to elect the pro-choice Democratic women who are making sure that our freedoms are protected for generations to come.
So, this year, join me in commemorating Mother’s Day with a contribution to EMILY’s List to help elect the Democratic women who will continue to secure our rights.

On Mother’s Day, let’s get women involved and make sure they know who is truly fighting for them – the pro-choice Democratic women EMILY’s List is working each day to elect to office.

Sincerely,

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand

We’re sure the irony is lost on Ms. Gillibrand, especially when she opens the letter with this sentiment:

I’ve said it before: as the mother of two young boys, finding the right balance between work and family isn’t easy. But we do it, we figure it out, because it’s our children — our nation’s future — that we’re all fighting for every single day.

Except apparently for our unborn children.

On a side note, here’s an interesting reminder about EMILY’s list, especially with the President’s recent gay marriage remarks.  In 2008, the group funded a congressional campaign in Tennessee for Nikki Tinker.  The Tinker camp refused to condemn or repudiate fliers that circulated about her opponent – a promoter of gay rights.  The fliers were distributed by a group that “detest(s) the alignment of African-Americans with homosexuals and lesbians as being equal.”  The fliers themselves were laced with anti-Semitic and racist statements.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal wrote:

What does Nikki Tinker think about anti-Semitic literature being circulated that might help her unseat 9th District Congressman Steve Cohen in the Democratic primary next August?

A fair question, which Tinker declined to answer this week after a flier stating that “Steve Cohen and the Jews Hate Jesus” began circulating in Memphis.

The question goes to the character of the woman who wants to represent the 9th District, and 9th District voters deserve an answer. But Tinker declined to return a phone call about the flier.

So EMILY’s List had no problem funding a smear campaign that featured anti-Semitic, racist, and homophobic literature – as long as the candidate they backed supported the right to terminate the life of a child.

And now they’re using Mother’s Day to support that same right.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that pro-abortion groups have used Mother’s Day as a fundraising tool.

Via LifeNews:

The Planned Parenthood abortion business is already jumping on the Mother’s Day bandwagon — days before families celebrate their mothers this weekend — with fundraising appeals seeking donations to further its pro-abortion agenda.

Planned Parenthood has exploited Mother’s Day in the past for donation appeals and, this year, the donation requests are centered on furthering Planned Parenthood’s abortion agenda globally.

“We are proud to be taking the Planned Parenthood mission global in supporting partner organizations that share our goals,” the abortion business says in an online donation appeal. “Since 1971, Planned Parenthood has expanded its work globally to promote the reproductive health and rights of women and their families in some of the poorest places in the world. When women are able to exercise their rights and access health care, they are able to make informed decisions — free of discrimination, coercion, and violence.”

Planned Parenthood, of course, ignores the violence abortion causes women and children.

What is with the far-left and their War on Children?  Does Gillibrand recognize the fact that one cannot celebrate Mother’s Day – if that woman did not choose life?

Planned Parenthood Praying For Abortion Business?

April 11, 2012 at 9:00 am (Abortion, California, Humboldt County, Life, Planned Parenthood, Prayer, Religion, War on Children)

Not sure what kind of prayer is involved with the termination of a child, but that’s not exactly a religion I’d like to be involved with.  This is a bit sickening – another salvo fired in the left’s War on Children.

LifeNews reports:

A local Planned Parenthood abortion business in California is copycatting the 40 Days for Life campaign, which recently resulted in saving the lives of more than 700 unborn children from abortion. The abortion business has set up its own 40 Days of Prayer for the local abortion center.
“We trust you to decide about your sexuality, having your children, and planning your family,” says a flier promoting the Humbolt County Clergy for Choice event. “We are religious leaders who value all human life.  We accept that religions differ about when life begins. We are here to help.”
“We believe that human life is holy. That’s why we believe in your right to choose to be a parent or not,” the pro-abortion religious leaders continue. “It can be helpful to talk with friends you trust, with licensed counselors, and with whatever religious person you choose.  Humboldt County Clergy are available to talk with you about the spiritual aspects of choice.  Find out more by calling Six Rivers Planned Parenthood.”

Holy.  Hell.

How can somebody be so disconnected from reality to say that they ‘believe that human life is holy’ while simultaneously promoting the act of ending life?

The flyer continues to provide specific ‘prayers’ for abortion throughout each of the 40 days, and can be seen below.

Pennsylvania Democrat: Pro-Life Women are Just "Men With Breasts"

March 27, 2012 at 8:04 am (Abortion, Babette Josephs, Democrats, Kathy Rapp, Men With Breasts, Pro Life, Republican, War on Children, Women)

No, that would be Alan Grayson…

What Democrats like this don’t understand is that women are fighting for not only their rights – but the right of an unborn child, the right to life.  Democrats meanwhile continue their War on Children…

From Weasel Zippers:

Pennsylvania State Rep. Babette Josephs, D-Philadelphia, picked up the political hand grenade that is the state’s ultrasound bill today when she wondered aloud at a Capitol rally if Republican women who had co-sponsored the bill are “men with breasts.”
Josephs’ remarks came in a speech about what she perceived as a series of Republican-led attacks on a woman’s right to have an abortion, in the guise of a new law tightening regulations on clinics that perform abortions; the bill that would require women to undergo an ultrasound at least 24 hours before an abortion; and a proposal to bar health care exchanges from providing insurance coverage for abortions.
During her remarks, she blasted women lawmakers who co-sponsored the ultrasound bill, asking rhetorically, “What are they? Women, or are they men with breasts?” according to supporters of the bill who watched the rally.
Josephs stood by her words after the rally, arguing that the women lawmakers on the bill – sponsored by Rep. Kathy Rapp of Warren County — are acting like women only in the sense “that they will do what the men tell them.”
“They must believe that they are not capable of making their own health care choices, but they are capable of voting on bills that control all of our behavior,” Josephs continued. “I don’t understand it. . .
“I don’t believe they’re really women. . . . I believe they’re men with breasts.”

GOP Congressman Tells Women to Give Their Money to Democrats

March 23, 2012 at 10:00 am (Congress, Daily Kos, Democrats, Donate, Money, New York, Republicans, Richard Hanna, War on Children, War on Women, Women's Rights)

Look, we know it’s annoying to be constantly falsely accused of conducting a ‘War on Women’, but aren’t you overcompensating just a touch?

From the Huffington Post:

As the only Republican Congressman at a rally for the Equal Rights Amendment on Thursday, Rep. Richard Hanna (R-N.Y.) gave women an unexpected piece of advice: Give your money to Democrats.
“I think these are very precarious times for women, it seems. So many of your rights are under assault,” he told the crowd of mostly women. “I’ll tell you this: Contribute your money to people who speak out on your behalf, because the other side — my side — has a lot of it. And you need to send your own message. You need to remind people that you vote, you matter, and that they can’t succeed without your help.”

Hanna is a pro-choice Republican, making him a pro-abortion, government funded contraception hawk, and thusly a man in the front lines in a ‘War on Children’.

You know you’ve been marching in the lunatic parade when you garner a quote from the Daily Kos.  Kaili Joy Gray, a far-left kook who frequently refers to conservatives as ‘tea baggers’ had this to say:

“Words I never thought I’d say, but this Republican member of Congress speaks for me.”

Congratulations Richard Hanna, you speak for loons, that must make you so proud.

When HuffPost asked Hanna after the rally whether he was bucking his party by encouraging women to give their money to “the other side,” he said that he wasn’t.

“I’m trying to help [the GOP],” he said. “I think it’s the appropriate thing to do.”

If your strategy to help the GOP is to feed into the ridiculous fear-mongering being perpetuated by the left, and validating the falsehoods they constantly spew, then yea…

Democrats Really, Really Want You to Believe Republicans Hate Women

March 15, 2012 at 7:46 am (Abortion, Contraception, Democrats, Republicans, Sandra Fluke, War on Children, War on Women, Women)

In a brief, 250-word fundraising e-mail, Democrats used the phrase “Republican War on Women” four times.  My question is, since the focus of this ‘war on women’ seems to involve the right to have an abortion, or prevent a pregnancy, then why are Democrats so insistent on conducting a “War on Children”?

Via Beltway Confidential:

The Sandra Fluke episode hasn’t done much for Democrats in terms of public opinion — Obama has slipped a bit with women since it occurred — a little-appreciated truth about their social issue portfolio more broadly. But when it comes to fundraising, there’s no better way of opening liberals’ wallets for their campaigns.
The Dems clearly get this, and they’ve left no drop unmilked with the Fluke incident. I noted yesterday that I’ve received 23 fundraising emails on the topic from just the two Democratic congressional committees (the DCCC and the DSCC). You know that silly game Republicans play with flag-burning amendments? The Democrats’ version is the “war on women.”

And here’s a copy of that letter:

Republicans have a clear agenda for women: Defund Planned Parenthood, deny women access to health care and birth control, and even prohibit women the right to participate in the debate about women’s health care.

Grassroots Democrats around the country have united against the Republican War on Women to launch a Women’s Health Accountability Fund. Our goal is to expose the truth about Republicans’ war on women with an aggressive rapid response operation including ads, on-the-ground organizing and more.

It’s important that national Republicans and their allies like Rush Limbaugh are held accountable for their vile, outrageous, and unceasing attacks on women’s health care. We are only $19,433 away from our Women’s Health Accountability fund goal before tonight’s midnight deadline.

Please chip in $3 by midnight tonight so Democrats can launch an urgent rapid response campaign against the Republican War on Women.

Republicans in Congress thought they could silence us by refusing to let Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke testify on their all-male panel on birth control coverage.

They were wrong.

There are only hours to go before Democrats launch an urgent grassroots campaign to hold Republicans accountable for their War on Women.

Can you pitch in right now?

Thanks,

Rep. Diana DeGette

Co-Chair of the House Pro-Choice Caucus

P.S. While Republicans double down on their radical agenda that would restrict women’s access to reproductive health care and the right to have a seat at the table to discuss women’s health care, we are making sure American people know the truth. Will you join us?
