Another Small Business Owner Tells Obama to "Kiss My …"

October 18, 2012 at 9:21 am (Auto Repair, New York, President Obama, Redistribution of Wealth, Speigletown, Tesman's, Todd Tesman, You Didn't Build That)

Saw this sign in my travels up Route 40 (h/t Michael and Janice), in a tiny little place called Speigletown, NY.

Not quite sure President Obama would ever be in that area, but if he were he would be driving past an auto repair shop called Tesman’s, where he could then read the following message:

Owner Todd Tesman apparently decided it was time to send the President a message that he did indeed build his own business.
The sign is a slightly cleaned up version of one used by an owner of a Georgia lumberyard back in August, and reads:
“We built this business without gov’t help
Pres. Obama can kiss my …
Todd Tesman approved this message”

I can assure you, Todd built it with some of my help back in the early ’90s.  The business I gave him with my crappy Taurus station wagon had to be staggering.
Still, like most successful businessmen, Todd always lent a helping hand.  You didn’t have to force him to redistribute wealth, he would routinely do small and quick repairs at no cost to the customer.  Charity was a choice, not legislated by government.
From reading other testimonials, it seems Todd is still carrying on that tradition.
It just goes to show you that successful small business owners haven’t forgotten about the President’s “you didn’t build that” moment.

Small Business Owners Fight Back With "I Built This" Video

July 22, 2012 at 9:00 am (2012 Election, Big Government, Bristol Palin, Business, Economy, Jobs, President Obama, Small Business, Socialism, Somebody Else Made That Happen, You Didn't Build That)

President Obama recently let us all peak into his economic world view recently when he proclaimed that, “if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that”.

He added, “Somebody else made that happen”.

The somebody was big government, for without government in your lives, nothing is possible.

Now, small business owners are having their say.

Bristol Palin made a request for small business owners to share their business photos in an attempt to explain to our President “how our economy works”.

From Bristol’s Blog on Patheos:

Small business owners all over America took offense at this incorrect view that government (instead of elbow grease, intelligence, and good-old-fashioned risk taking) is the bedrock of our economy.

Since the President doesn’t understand how our economy works, let’s take a moment to explain how small businesses are created…  More importantly, let’s show him the businesses we’ve made and who has made them.

Gateway Pundit writes:

President Obama’s attack on small business owners revealed a petulant and resentful socialist, who values the collective over the individual and sees the productive class as vampires feeding on the weak and the downtrodden. As Michael Walsh said, “It was a ‘Kinsley gaffe’ for Barack Obama when he inadvertently blurted out the truth.”

Now small business owners across America are standing up, speaking out and fighting back.

Here is their response to Barack Obama…

“I Built This” – the video.

The video is very well done.  Watch for yourself…

Watch: Romney Hits a Home Run With Latest Speech

July 17, 2012 at 7:04 pm (2012 Election, Economy, Mitt Romney, President Obama, You Didn't Build That)

Today, Mitt Romney delivered an epic speech in the battleground state of Pennsylvania that has drawn high praise from some of his biggest conservative critics.

Michelle Malkin had this to say:

Romney impressed with both the substance and the delivery of his rallying cry on behalf of individual achievement and free enterprise. He was energetic and passionate.

I believed in what he was selling: A vision for restoring American greatness and defending success.

Obama’s inability to hide his ideological contempt for entrepreneurs & individual success has helped Romney self-actualize.

If he gives this speech with the same zeal and optimism from now until November — offering a clear, unapologetic contrast to Barack Obama’s bitter politics of resentment, class warfare, and entitlement, Mitt Romney will win.

Here is video of the speech provided by the Right Scoop…

What do you think?  Has he earned the praise?
