Obama Really Has Delivered on Immigration Reform

April 23, 2012 at 10:19 pm (Border Security, Economy, Immigration, Jobs, Mexico, United States)

Who knew that the President was craftily delivering on his promises to reform immigration, whilst securing our borders all this time?

What does that immigration reform entail?

Building a fence on the border?  No.

Enforcing proper identification to weed out those who have entered the country illegally?  No.

Allowing states to enact laws which reinforce already existing federal immigration laws?  Hell no.

Making the U.S. economy so crappy that more people want to leave the country than enter it?

We have a winner…

Via the Washington Post:

A four-decade tidal wave of Mexican immigration to the United States has receded, causing a historic shift in migration patterns as more Mexicans now leave the United States for Mexico than the other way around, according to a report from the Pew Hispanic Center.
It is the first reversal in the trend since the Depression, and experts say that a declining Mexican birthrate and other factors may make it permanent.
Nearly 1.4 million Mexicans moved from the United States to Mexico between 2005 and 2010, double the number who came a decade earlier. The number of Mexicans who moved to the United States during that period fell to less than half of the 3 million who came between 1995 and 2000.
The reversal appears to be a result of tightened border controls, a weak U.S. job and housing construction market, a rise in deportations and a decline in Mexican birthrates, said the study
The drop comes at a time when overall immigration to the United States continues to grow, and reflects several factors specific to Mexico, including a relatively strong economy and a sharply diminished birthrate.
Gustavo Velasquez, 38, who came from Oaxaca, Mexico, 12 years ago and serves as the director of the D.C. Office on Human Rights, said that the scarcity of U.S. jobs is causing more Mexicans to think twice about moving.

Only Obamanomics would make the Mexican economy seem more enticing than the U.S. economy…

Did Democrats Tamper With the 2008 Election?

April 23, 2012 at 3:30 pm (2008 Election, Barack Obama, Democrats, Jesse Jackson, John McCain, Julian Assange, Wikileaks)

We know what you’re thinking…  Far-fetched, right?

Via Conservative Byte:

According to emails obtained by WikiLeaks, which is led by the embattled Julian Assange, Republican Senator John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign staff allegedly had evidence that Democrats stuffed ballot boxes in Pennsylvania and Ohio on election night. However, the candidate chose not to pursue voter fraud, according to internal emails obtained from the private intelligence and analysis firm, Stratfor.

Stratfor regularly reports on geopolitics, narcotics, security and terrorism, particularly overseas. The company, which was founded by George Friedman, has high-level subscribers including at least one former U.S. Secretary of State, various foreign governments, and intelligence agencies. The U.S. Marines and the Department of Homeland Security are also customers. In recent months, Stratfor was in the news because a still unknown party hacked the Stratfor website and obtained subscribers’ names.

Why did McCain choose not to pursue voter fraud allegations?  Likely because, much like voter ID laws, it would have been perceived as racist.

Good to see things like this coming out nearly four years after the act.  As opposed to say, in 2008, when it actually mattered.

More from Spero News:

In an email sent on November 7, 2008, entitled ” Insight – The Dems & Dirty Tricks **Internal Use Only – Pls Do Not Forward **,” Stratfor vice president of intelligence Fred Burton wrote:

1) The black Dems were caught stuffing the ballot boxes in Philly and Ohio as reported the night of the election and Sen. McCain chose not to fight. The matter is not dead inside the party. It now becomes a matter of sequence now as to how and when to “out”.

Philly, eh?  Wonder if Eric Holder would be interested in investigating more of “his people”.

Two days earlier, Burton wrote an email entitled “Insight – McCain #5 **internal use only – Pls do not forward **,” :

After discussions with his inner circle, which explains the delay in his speech, McCain decided not to pursue the voter fraud in PA and Ohio, despite his staff’s desire to make it an issue. He said no. Staff felt they could get a federal injunction to stop the process. McCain felt the crowds assembled in support of Obama and such would be detrimental to our country and it would do our nation no good for this to drag out like last go around, coupled with the possibility of domestic violence. The Nov. 7 email also contains allegations that Democrats made a “six-figure donation” to Rev. Jesse Jackson to silence him on the topic of Israel after an October 2008 interview in which he said Obama’s presidency would remove the clout of “Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades.”

Twitter Users Ramping Up Zimmerman Death Threats

April 23, 2012 at 12:58 pm (Death Threats, Florida, George Zimmerman, Sanford, Trayvon Martin, Twitchy, Twitter)

Just imagine what’s going to happen if he’s acquitted…

Via Twitchy:

George Zimmerman was released on $150,000 bail late Sunday night in what the Associated Press called a “low-key event.” Threats of death from the Twitter lynch mob were anything but low-key.

Here’s a few stellar examples (Warning, poor language) (Another warning, even worse grammar):

Succinct and to the point for @TrizzyTroof_CA:

I would kill George Zimmerman

@RealWillMawana writes:

George Zimmerman Released From Jail 150,000 Bail! WTF! Nigga You Are About To Die, Start Writing Your Will! Justices Has Not Been Served

@Stallionnett101 offered this ingenius insight:

Once u been convicted of a crime & let out on bail u can’t be charged 2x for the same thing so that means sum1 gonna have to kill Zimmerman

That’s called double jeopardy dumba**, and charges aren’t dropped when you’re released on bail.

Incidentally, the Twitter user policy reads:

Violence and Threats: You may not publish or post direct, specific threats of violence against others.

I’m certain Twitter will do the right thing and pull those accounts.  Right around the twelfth of never.

Read the rest, it gets worse…

Jon Huntsman Compares GOP to Communist China

April 23, 2012 at 11:07 am (China, GOP, Jon Huntsman, Republican, RINO, This Isn't China, Utah)

On behalf of everyone who recognized Huntsman as an unhinged RINO loon, allow us to say…  “Phew!”

Via Buzzfeed:

Former Republican candidate Jon Huntsman took a battle axe to his own party, comparing it to China’s Communist Party and criticizing it’s standard bearer in a wide-ranging interview at the 92nd Street Y Sunday night.
Recounting his first experience on the presidential debate stage in Iowa last August, Huntsman says he was struck by the question “Is this the best we could do?”
Huntsman, the former Utah governor and once President Barack Obama’s Ambassador to China, expressed disappointment that the Republican Party disinvited him from a Florida fundraiser in March after he publicly called for a third party.
“This is what they do in China on party matters if you talk off script,” he said.

No Jon, this is actually what they do in China if you talk off script…

Eight Years Ago Today, I Married the Love of My Life

April 23, 2012 at 9:03 am (Anniversary, Marriage, Wife)

Just wanted to take the time to say to my wife – Happy Anniversary!  I love you – always, forever…

Nothing compares
Now that I have you –

A journey through
life’s lows and highs
Moonlight dancing
within your eyes
Drawing closer
within my arms
My wife is nighttime
Between my stars.

You are the strong one out of the two of us, a mother and wife with no equal, and my absolute best friend.

Can’t wait for many, many more years together…

Survey: Republicans More Open-Minded, Better Informed On Politics

April 23, 2012 at 7:09 am (Democrats, GOP, Knowledge, Open Minded, Politics, Republicans)

See?  This is what we’ve been trying to say.  And if you disagree, then go pound sand.  😉

Via the Daily Caller:

Yet another new survey shows that Republican supporters know more about politics and political history than Democrats.
On eight of 13 questions about politics, Republicans outscored Democrats by an average of 18 percentage points, according to a new Pew survey “Partisan Differences in Knowledge.”
The Pew survey adds to a wave of surveys and studies showing that GOP-sympathizers are better informed, more intellectually consistent, more open-minded, more empathetic and more receptive to criticism than their fellow Americans who support the Democratic Party.
“Republicans fare substantially better than Democrats on several questions in the survey, as is typically the case in surveys about political knowledge,” said the study, which noted that Democrats outscored Republicans on five questions by an average of 4.6 percent.
The widest partisan gap in the survey came in at 30 points when only 46 percent of Democrats — but 76 percent of Republicans —- correctly described the GOP as “the party generally more supportive of reducing the size of federal government.”
The widest difference that favored Democrats was only 8 percent, when 59 percent of Republicans and 67 percent of Democrats recognized the liberal party as “more support of reducing the defense budget.”
The survey quizzed 1,000 people, including 239 Republicans and 334 Democrats.
